  1. If the boat is a ski boat, maybe too much gas. When on wide combos, need a slower, smooth acceleration. If the driver hits it hard, will pull the handle out of anyone's hands.
  2. We skied a new 200 last summer, ski and drove great. Very impressed. We ski behind new Prostars almost daily for comparison
  3. @teammalibu Alana and I are north of there in Sandpoint and happy to help a CR skier with a pull. However she may want to check out Stella Blue lake in Washington. Great private lake and super owners that are great to ski with. Lewiston is on a boatable river and may have some locals that ski there. Www.stellabluelake.com
  4. My Lake (river) is ski boat country and at least as many ski boats as wake Barges, Pontoons are the majority however. But boats are mostly older models with some later model 200's mixed in, No new Prostars or new SN's yet.
  5. @andre Me too, I just want to build my own, PS I started this thread just asking for the outline.
  6. @Jody_Seal Thanks a ton! Could you give us a few measurements so we can replicate it?
  7. Super Happy that this seems to be coming around and looks like a few of us will be building new ski racks for our Loved 196’s. Thanks to all.
  8. Great ski Club and lucky to be a Member for many years now! 2 lakes, new Boats and awesome crew of skiers. Www.predatorbaywaterskiclub.com
  9. @andre My cottage is in the states and it was shipped there. So cover never crossed the border.
  10. @Andre, one issue I have found is that the Vinyl ones are very heavy and hard to install or remove by yourself. I have a vinyl and my neighbour went with a Sunbrella like material and way easier to handle. Easy to install and fold up to store. I did order a new canopy in 2019 from boatcoversdirect and was happy with the product and price etc. It was a shelter-rite vinyl and seems well made. I wish i had gone with the Sunbrella style material now however.
  11. Having owned a Prostar 197 and a SN 196, I would say that the Nautique "rides" a bit better in roughish water. No ski boat is made for the big water on a large lake but Nautiques do cut through the waves and ride smoother then the flat bottoms of MC and Bu's. PS: Buy the 196, they are amazing boats and very well made!
  12. We have an amazing 2004 196 and would love to find a set of these ski racks, my wife finds the skis on the floor messy and would love to have a set of these racks. Anyone have a set they would part with? OR anyone have have a set that they would take an outline of and I can try and make a set if I had the shape and size Thanks in advance,
  13. 98 SN, all the way! One of the finest SL boats ever.
  14. @ColeGiacopuzzi Thanks for letting us know, maybe add a 2nd day and make more skiers happy??
  15. radar Lake one full? Location not offered in drop down box?
  16. Live in the NW and short easy fly or drive to California, seems like west coast makes more sense if everything came together.
  17. Thanks everyone, my guts says i need to come visit and have a look around and see if it is for us. Really looking for a spring / fall ski escape place. Somewhere to ski March, April and May and Oct. Happy up North in summer and still love Snow skiing in the middle of winter!
  18. @Wolfeie Yes, I looked at both of these properties and they along with the one in Newberry springs have been for sale for a long time. Are there water issues or any other reasons why they don't sell?
  19. I agree, get a month in and build some ski muscles and then go to the ski school.
  20. Quick Question, looking on Ski it Again there are some nice looking ski properties for sale on Private lakes in southern Cal. They seem fairly priced to cheap compared to Florida and yet they are not selling? What is the Catch? Why are they not selling?
  21. Cold water is different in Florida and Canada! Water tops out at 80 in the north and we ski water in the High 40's by end of season. 70 degree water feels faster then 85 water BUT once water is in the 55 range it is like sandpaper between ski and water and feels really slow and hard to get the ski to move. Let's define what temp is warm? 70, 80, 90? and what is Cold water 40's, 50's or 70's?
  22. Other consideration is that Nautique's tend to ride smoother in rougher water as the hull is not totally flat. On rougher public water the ride in some ski boats is not pleasant.
  23. I have a new Pixel 6 Pro on order, the camera looks like it should work awesome to pick out all my mistakes.
