  1. My daughter skis28-30 at 15 off and can easily cut through the wake. Below 28 it’s get rampy higher than 28 and it just keeps getting better
  2. This is my vtx wake@ 15off 34 mph. Best wake is pre 2016. Did the research before I bought mine.
  3. Actually any were 22 off and 34+ is really pretty good
  4. It is one of the best crossover boats available which is why I posted it here. My kids are older and I've been blessed enough to start restoring old ski boats and found one I'm going to keep so I'll be buying a bigger boat for the kids and have my own dedicated slalom boat. All in if you have a family who like to do all the sports yet you still slalom its a great boat.
  5. Very well maintained and Meticulously cared for 2015 Malibu VTX, white with gray metal flake 0 scratches, loaded with surfgate, rear and center ballast tanks, power wedge, cruise control, removable center mounted ski pylon for slalom skiing with a great wake, underwater lights, wind screen, Bimini with surf board racks and wakeboard racks, upgraded all wetsounds system that rocks including new wetsounds amplifiers, speakers, rear deck controls. Upgraded plug and play 750lb sacs in each locker allows you to have a great surf wake one minute, empty them then go slalom ski a course. 333 hours on monsoon engine with no issues. Foam flooring but snap in carpet also comes with it. Trailer is included and in new condition. This boat does it all well. Handles amazing close to a true inboard. 68k Cantact me at 417-631-2437 See less
  6. If anyone has an old mastercraft 200 that needs restored laying around I’m interested in a winter project, sorry not hijacking thread?
  7. +1 for accelerator pump, did that on an old boat of mine. Rebuilt the carb and good to go or you can just do the pump.
  8. Test drove one before I decided to by a VTX..... I picked the VTX and am as happy as I can be with a v drive. (But a happier family) With the NXT you can cut through the wake below 22 but longer than that and it gives a pretty good kick, it’s not a slalom course boat.
  9. @Robbo5252 I’ve got 2 50lb bags of lead in the front( I don’t have the front ballast.... mistake) but this does allow me to move it side to side to even out the wake if needed. No more than3/8 tank of gas and I can still have 3 people in the boat and get a pretty darn good slalom wake. Driver only and at 22 off or less it’s great. Even 15 isn’t bad just a little kick you have to edge through. I’ve found the gas load is key as well as the weight in the bow.The gas less the better. I’m very happy with my VTX but it’s not as good as my DD.
  10. @oldjeep is right it’s the same width andit’s still the diamond hull but sitting up higher with higher sides so it’s the feel of a wide boat compared to my lxi were I felt at bouy level and could see them go by easier. I won’t tell my wife it’s no wider because she thinks it’s the boats fault when she runs over bouys more when she drives the vtx. Lol
  11. I moved from my lxi to a 15 vtx last year.I miss my direct drive, I’m not going to lie but the wake on my vtx with the right setup starting at 22 off and above 30 mph and the center pylon is not bad at all!! The handling is still snappy like a dad. I run it through the course and it just feels wide but is skiable. My family is much happier and we spend way more time on the water instead of just early and late.
  12. Looking for blank 68” Connelly gt
  13. Dang, just what I’m looking to give my daughter for her first starter slalom boat after college graduation. To bad it’s so far from the Midwest.
  14. I just went from a sunsetter lxi to a 15 vtx with only 50hrs. I’ll say this it’s not as good as my lxi but I dialed it in and ski it through the course very doable and sufficient tracking. Above 30mph is best, 36 mph and it’s a good wake. Start the day with 1/4 tank of gas and the center pylon and you’ll have a pretty decent wake that’s easy to cut through (less equipment in the boat the better)back to the marina to fill up with gas and people... surf for the day end with 3/8 tank of gas for a late day set and then start it all over the next day. I’ve never burned so much gas during a summer. I’m betting it’s the same for a 200v or similar.
  15. I’ve tried everything, lake water up the nose( even a little) and I stuff up like crazy almost immediately then get a sinus infection. Lived on Afrin a few years... but that bad. Tried all the allergy medicines etc, netipot and no better. I’ve gotten over people laughing at me sking with nose clamp, it’s the only thing that stops it from happening.
