  1. @waternut from memory the loops were still knotted but not as lumpy as most ropes. I can't go and check for you either as that rope is now peacefully resting on the bottom of the river still attached to my wife's custom pink masterline handle. Note to everyone: do not take the rope off the pylon until you are sure your little "helpers" have pulled the handle all the way in!
  2. I got caught too with the Accurate 'knot less' rope. Masterline make a true knot less rope
  3. @DefectiveDave I changed from a rubber front binding to a Reflex front due to suffering several strained ankles. After 3 seasons on it I have not had a single sprain that has kept me off the water (touch wood). Second hand set ups come up occasionally on ski it again or you could try a wanted ad to see what people have lying about. Even at ~400 new it doesn't take many days off work to justify the extra coin
  4. @GregHind I would be interested in an upgrade. Will PM you
  5. @Chef23 DBW. 06 was the first of I think
  6. @MISkier thanks for that, I thought that the GPS would need to trigger on the entrance and exit gate.
  7. We have Z Box in our 06 Response, 340 Monsoon motor and it feels the same as ZO to me. I think the GPS timing is BS though as I drove OUT the gates the other day and it started timing so I kept it engaged just to see what would happen. Sure enough it beeped 269 metres down the river and came up with a 16.08 good time!!
  8. My big crashes are more of a weekly thing not a yearly thing. If you're not crashing you're not trying!!;)
  9. Teaching a kid to barefoot on the boom and decided to give him a demo of what I was trying to tell him. Asked his mum if she had driven a boat and was assured that she had her license and drove their boat "all the time". Jumped over the side and got up to speed just as an oncoming boat was coming towards us. She was too busy watching what I was doing to watch where she was headed and my shouts (quickly turning to screams) of LOOK OUT! only made her laugh harder. She must of thought that was part of my trick run. By the time I realised she was a complete nutter and wasn't going to slow down I was too frozen in fear to let go. The driver of the other boat only just turned at the last second and the end of my boom bar missed his boat by millimetres. Hate to think what might of happened if it hit. Moral of the story is never let anyone you don't know are competent drive your pride and joy, especially when you are hanging off the side of it!
  10. Joel are you there? Is the site coming back? My morning ritual is all out of whack
  11. Thanks for the feedback guys (and girls?) I think I can stretch it to about 2000 so sounds like it might be ok. If anyone has built a lake and wouldn't mind sharing some tips it would be appreciated.
  12. Posted this question in another thread but looking for more feedback. Looking at building our own lake but are a bit tight for room. What is the shortest length lake you can comfortably ski on at 36mph? With and without turn islands? Thanks in advance
  13. Razorskier1. We have that problem aswell when tricking but have found that if you punch it a bit harder on the pull out and accelerate well above the set speed it will settle down alot quicker. Hope this helps
  14. We are looking at buying a property with a lake on it that measures approx. 560m on google maps. One end would not take much digging to create a turn island. Would this be long enough? What is the minimum length you need to put a course in and still be skiable?
