  1. I used to use a product called "Soap Buddy". It was binding lube in a bottle and caddy that held on to the back of the boat by suction cups. Unfortunately they are not produced any more and I now run the risk of people (my children) spilling soap in the boat again. Does anyone know of a hold over supply of this little gem or a good alternative
  2. I would say anything above 2ft is probably fine. I have seen my depth meter go to 1.7 feet, but lower than that my prop hits the mud. Luckily I have no rocks in my lake to worry about.
  3. Well I guess there had to be a reason that the lake sites are not doing 2 years in a row like they used to.
  4. The judges did the best with what they knew at the time. The score could have gone either way. Everyone that entered the competition virtually agreed that they were going to go with whatever the judges ruled on. I don't know how I would personally have ruled it, but its time to move on. J-mac is a fantastic skier and we all look forward to seeing him rip it up in future events.
  5. If you plan on keeping your trailer for a while I would suggest considering snaptraxx. http://www.snaptraxx.com/ I have this installed on my boat lift at my dock. If you do decide to simply re-carpet your trailer - I would look into a silicon lubricant each time before the boat loads on the trailer. My Ski Nautique 200 is in my opinion the best ski boat of all time, but the hull has spray inhibitors that cause headaches with bunks / carpet. Once I started spraying on the silicon lubricant the boat slips on and off. Just make sure you take precaution and secure the boat to the trailer as it can become very slick and the boat can end up sliding off onto the pavement.
  6. I would vote Bell Aqua -if I got a vote. HI, I would think would have a pretty small running order considering travel costs.
  7. winterizing: Now here is a topic that makes me sad. sigh.
  8. Maybe I don't log on enough, but I've only seen very positive stuff with the exception of a few political posts, but very few at most.
  9. Although they are never cheap a good old pair of jumpers are tons of fun.
  10. With so many sharing the ownership in a boat as well as club boats trying to accommodate multiple skiers, I would love to see the manufactures add in software to show who is using the boat. This could be accomplished already with the key-less pin code on Nautiques. I think that it would bring a lot more accountability to the one's with the most usage in regards to gas, maintenance, and hours.
  11. Glad to help. A handle (round not elliptical) with a larger diameter as well as loosening up your grip might also help.
  12. I am no doctor so take this with a grain of salt, but I don't think you have a rash. You have what looks more like a hickey type of problem. Skiing hard causes me get them too. The smallest blood vessels in your body are called capillaries. When somebody is putting pinching type pressure on their skin, they can cause the capillaries just beneath the surface to rupture, letting blood seep out into the surrounding tissue. So, hickey like bruises, are actually broken blood vessels just under the surface of the skin that blood has come out of. The blood that has collected and clotted under the skin is generally red at first but then, as it is no longer getting oxygen, the blood dries out and turns into a darker purple or brown color.
  13. I've wondered the same - even more generalized about hobbies, but think about what is important to woman like hair and makeup. Those things are contrasting getting in H20. Here is an answer I got when I went searching - "If I cook, redecorate, put on makeup, or polish my nails, these things are just proper behavior -- normal maintenance expected of all women. If a male friend cooks, redecorates his apartment, plays a game, or paints models, these are hobbies that help make him a more well-rounded individual or help him unwind from his busy day of meaningful work. "My hobbies don't "count" because they're just things women are expected to do, not enriching, edifying, or relaxing like proper male hobbies.
  14. Sometimes I think we skiers don't want these kind of improvements. This is the same kind of frustrations heard when guys mentioned decreasing buoy count comments when Perfect Pass took over the norm from hand driving and then again when Zero Off took over the standard. As we get closer and closer to a constant pull speed, we are always going to see the challenge increase. The good news is - the ski manufactures have made vast improvements that have kept the scores increasing while the boats become more like freight trains. Think about the recent world records - the scores are vastly superior to the times when we had our drivers controlling speed and a stop watch for accountability. Inconsistency of the motorized tow boat is and what always will keep this sport out of the Olympics.
  15. Sure is @Horton and thanks! link
  16. I have a promo boat for sale. It's in it's 2nd year of tournaments so I am hoping to get it sold soon so I can stay in the program. If you want the program to stay healthy / or even survive, consider supporting our sport by purchasing a promo boat.
  17. Great choice in boats. I have had 5 SN 200s so far, so my advice - You best get those bunks higher by extending those risers up and away from the frame and also get them closer together. The closer they are together the higher your boat will sit from the frame. Its a pretty deep V hull so be careful. I may be slow, but I don't know why you would have those steps right down the center of the lift. I would re-position them to either side.
  18. Heel side is going backwards and toe-side is going forward.
  19. Let me know if you are interested. Its a 2015 about 145 hours
  20. Let me know if you are interested. Its a 2015 about 145 hours
  21. Maybe it's because I search out class C tournaments or maybe it's cause I just think differently, but I know that everyone is human ( I am definitely human) and know how mistakes can be made. At the end of the day we all are way too serious about the sport and need to give more thanks to the officials that volunteer at tournaments weekend after weekend. Really - personally knowing what buoy count you skied at a high level tournament setting is what it's really all about anyways. Please don't take the fun out of the sport with bad attitudes.
