  1. I used to use a product called "Soap Buddy". It was binding lube in a bottle and caddy that held on to the back of the boat by suction cups. Unfortunately they are not produced any more and I now run the risk of people (my children) spilling soap in the boat again. Does anyone know of a hold over supply of this little gem or a good alternative
  2. I would say anything above 2ft is probably fine. I have seen my depth meter go to 1.7 feet, but lower than that my prop hits the mud. Luckily I have no rocks in my lake to worry about.
  3. Well I guess there had to be a reason that the lake sites are not doing 2 years in a row like they used to.
  4. The judges did the best with what they knew at the time. The score could have gone either way. Everyone that entered the competition virtually agreed that they were going to go with whatever the judges ruled on. I don't know how I would personally have ruled it, but its time to move on. J-mac is a fantastic skier and we all look forward to seeing him rip it up in future events.
  5. If you plan on keeping your trailer for a while I would suggest considering snaptraxx. http://www.snaptraxx.com/ I have this installed on my boat lift at my dock. If you do decide to simply re-carpet your trailer - I would look into a silicon lubricant each time before the boat loads on the trailer. My Ski Nautique 200 is in my opinion the best ski boat of all time, but the hull has spray inhibitors that cause headaches with bunks / carpet. Once I started spraying on the silicon lubricant the boat slips on and off. Just make sure you take precaution and secure the boat to the trailer as it can become very slick and the boat can end up sliding off onto the pavement.
  6. I would vote Bell Aqua -if I got a vote. HI, I would think would have a pretty small running order considering travel costs.
  7. winterizing: Now here is a topic that makes me sad. sigh.
  8. Maybe I don't log on enough, but I've only seen very positive stuff with the exception of a few political posts, but very few at most.
  9. Although they are never cheap a good old pair of jumpers are tons of fun.
  10. With so many sharing the ownership in a boat as well as club boats trying to accommodate multiple skiers, I would love to see the manufactures add in software to show who is using the boat. This could be accomplished already with the key-less pin code on Nautiques. I think that it would bring a lot more accountability to the one's with the most usage in regards to gas, maintenance, and hours.
  11. Glad to help. A handle (round not elliptical) with a larger diameter as well as loosening up your grip might also help.
