  1. @gator1 once you put the holes in, did you have any troubles with the material freying or ripping or anything
  2. @gator1 yea connelly sent one of those out with the boots, still very hard to get them tight. I guess it would have been too easy for them to make the holes over the bolts
  3. @gator1 do you mean ball nosed allen wrench? I'm not having a dig at you, genuine question.
  4. @phillips mine came with just that basic manual showing the do's and don'ts and the tension settings. All you will need are an allen key and screwdriver. The foot pad piece does pull out and doesn't have any adhesive. The screws are a pain to get to and tighten fully
  5. @phillips no, getting the right angle. I still need to adjust the camber properly.
  6. @GOODEskier what about Jamie Beauchesne. i know he doesn't compete anymore but he helped develop the stealths, used them and he is one hell of a skier
  7. @phillips also I have never had any problem with comfort once I got them in the right position. The only discomfort I had was whilst in the water after a pass
  8. @Phllips, the lacing is pretty easy to get undone blindly. I have never had a pre release. When I first started with them, I had the springs set light for my weight and never had a pre release. Now that it is set right for my weight, it doesn't release as often as it used to but releases well before any injury can occur
  9. @phillips I have had Stealth's for over a year and haven't had any problems with them apart from the fact that they take a bit of time to put on and If it releases, I have to take the boots off, re mount them on the ski and put it on again. The boots are holding up just fine and I don't use liners and they don't smell even slightly. I haven't even washed them or anything, just allow them to dry properly. I don't have the problem that @Horton has, I can get them off quite easily in the water so it must vary person to person. In saying that I do have slightly skinnier than normal feet
  10. @Horton yea I agree with that fully, although I believe that by simply changing where I had my head pointing, I inadvertently changed my body position, giving me a much stronger position which was the reason I was getting to the ball early. It could just be me and the way I ski and might not work for everyone so I just do what Emma Sheers tells me to do.
  11. This seems a bit odd for Celsius. A 41 degree day with 30 degree water being perfect? I think I would melt. When I started skiing this season by the calculator the BI was 6.6 when calculating with Celsius temperatures but it didn't seem that cold at all (water 17, air 23). Either that or I'm just mad
  12. From what I've seen not a whole lot of people in australia use double boots. I wouldnt be on them if it wasn't for the fact I personally believe the stealths/fogmans have the best release system (not so for re-attaching). Had a ski on my F1X again with RTP and didnt see much difference, just a lot less comfortable
  13. I was having great difficulty getting to the buoy early and was given the most simple remedy ever. Instead of looking at the buoy, look 3m before the buoy, only have the buoy in peripheral vision and don't focus on it at all. I did this without deliberately changing my lean and I was instantly extremely early
  14. We use aluminium sulfate to settle water for chemical spraying, it works quick (12 hours or so) and clears the water up a hell of a lot. One problem that may arise is that you could get a really sticky film of weird mud on the waters bottom, depending how dirty the water is to start off with. Another alternative is gypsum (calcium sulfate dihydrate). We used to put it in house dams to settle the water. Worked reasonably well although you would need a fair bit more (it is much cheaper though)
  15. Nate hands donw. What he does on the water is amazing, especially after seeing that barefooting video
