  1. Our boat (mercruiser engine) and a friends Nautique recently lost a little power, both of them run in muddy (brown) fresh water, both had cylinder head valve seat issues. Valve seats had corroded, causing power loss on both boats.
  2. Thank you Sir @savaiusini. :)
  3. Any pics of the CX Superlite and ladies CX please?

    The new VTX

We have heard in Australia that it is a replacement for the Response FXI, which was still available here as a 2014 model. Can any Malibu insiders confirm? http://www.boatsales.com.au/boats-for-sale/private/used/SSE-AD-3497953/2014-Malibu-Response-FXi
  5. From memory the sizes went from widest to thinnest., Tx, Senate then Cx.
  6. I was tossing up between the Senate Graphite and the Ho CX Superlite. I went with the HO, and have chosen the double Vmax boots also. I love this ski, came from a Radar P6 and thought I would struggle to deep water start. This wasn't even an issue, got straight up and the ski is stable and fast. I have had a real hard go once and the ski turns perfectly and is fantastic to ride. One thing I have noticed is that the water is breaking perfectly in the correct position under my front foot. I have nothing but good things to say about the Cx Superlite.
  7. Hi, I can't comment about clubs, but for location that is beach side, try either Sunshine Coast Queensland, @ozski can fill you in. Or Port Macquarie, Mid to north coast NSW, Stoney Park is the local ski park there. Both towns are beach located, and both an excellent place to live, just watch that you might not want to go home, because you can probably ski all year round at Sunshine Coast, and 9/12 months at Port Mac. Best of luck.
  8. Will you post them to Australia?
  9. And if anyone had demoed the two different boots then that would be great information to pass on to those looking to purchase. Understanding that each person has personal preferences.
  10. Any reviews on these boots yet? Are they a good thing or not? Let me know, I am interested in trying them out on a new CX superlite.
  11. No self respecting Aussie ever drinks Fosters @Horton‌, but the Brits seem to love the stuff. I am a dark rum man myself, the spiced rum's are gaining momentum here though. Keep up the good work, I like satire.
  12. Funny, I like your sense of humour @Horton. Maybe your humour is better suited to Australian minds?
  13. If all else fails, put him on a barefoot boom. It is possibly the easiest way to teach someone to get up, and they are right there with you so you can watch and give helpful tips. My advice is don't give a million tips at once either, it just confuses people who may already be frustrated. After say 10 starts on a boom, he will have his start technique dialed. Like you mention he can already ski once up, so this may be worth a try.
  14. Aussie Aussie Aussie. Maybe we can have future slalom record holders from Australia. Tough Aussie kid.
  15. Wow, that is some amazing bruising, I have only seen that kind of bruising with a fracture normally.
  16. I got of those combo skis as quick as I could, we skied maybe only 4 single times on the combo skis then moved to the single ski. My brother in-law started us off on the barefoot boom on the single ski, then high pole deep water start, then deep water start normal pole. The hardest part was the deep water start, but bending those knees up high, staying strong in your legs and keeping the knees together as you come out of the hole made it much easier. On the deep water start we also utilised a long v rope to help stabilise the front of the ski. If and when my time comes to teach others I would follow this philosophy again.
  17. @aswinter05, congrats also on running the course, can I ask what speed the boat is at please? We have just started skiing and we are interested in trying slalom in our next summer (Australia). I understand that we start at 15 off or 18 metres of total rope length also. Thanks
  18. Lecturing at a University in Australia, into the paramedic program.
  19. Great photos, you guys are still wearing steamers, and we are just starting to think about them down under. The way of the seasons.
  20. First time poster, lurker since finding skiing after motocross! Does someone have a link to the Camaro website? Top and shorts look interesting.
