  1. MasterLine knotless rope and a MasterLine spectra radius handle.
  2. 66.75" Mapple 6.0. Reflex Front & R-Sytle Rear. Eagle Vests (Bird of Prey and Skull). ProGear Gloves. 12" 1.030 ML Custom Handle & ML Knotless Rope. Oneil Shorts & Oneil Hyperfreak 0.5mm Top.
  3. @pgmoore sorry to hear that. I had a similar problem 2 years ago in which my back foot came out and my front foot stayed in. I never tore any ligaments but stretched them to the point of nearly tearing. I recently changed to reflex front and R style on the back and had a similar crash the other day to when I injured my foot, my reflex released and although my foot is a touch tender (due to the previous crash) I can still ski and my foot is fine. I strongly feel that if I had been in and rubber boot I would have torn my ligaments again. I would agree with either going Wiley or Reflex, one extreme to the other. Reflex all the way for me, wish I had done it years ago!
  4. First set of the year yesterday. Water was 5c and air was 5c. Baller index was -83.40 so very cold. SO happy to be out but can't wait for it to warm up a lot!
  5. I had jumped a hand full of time in England but when we went out to the US I went and had a few sets with Tom and June and can honestly say they are awesome. So laid back and they make you feel so welcome. They helped my jumping come on so much. Between them they know their stuff!!
  6. I always dunk my ski in the water 3 times, even though its wet enough from the first always done it ( and always get told I take for ever putting my ski on as well @addkerr).
  7. I must admit out of all the bindings I have changed to over the years. Reflex has been my easier change. I only changed the front from a T factor to a reflex and left my sloppy wiley on the back and it didn't take me long at all. Dropped down to 34 and ran basically every pass straight of the belt, so response at 36 as well. I have always found changing my back binding the major change for me in terms of feeling. Wish I had done it years ago however everything is different for everyone so really just gotta try it. Defiantly watch Andy's video and get it set up right and feel happy with it before you go out.
  8. That boat is UNREAL! Love that to be sat at my dock! Sick.
  9. @ShaneH thats interesting cause I know @addkerr switched to it this season and loves it. I can see the point in them but not to sure. I always find changing my back binding the most difficult however I am really thinking about a rear kicker for the season coming up.
  10. I must admit I have been giving this a fair bit of thought my self. I started skiing with a kicker and then switched to a double boot setup. I now run a reflex front and a very sloppy wiley back. I have thought about going to the reflex R style boot and the back of even a kicker, can see the reasons behind both the double boot and the kicker but have to wonder seen as most top skiers use a kicker is it something to try again?
  11. @mellig I ski with contacts and as soon as the boat pulls me out I close my eyes. Stops them moving around. Many a time I have had my contacts move as I am entering the course. Very annoying.
  12. I was on a Radar Strada at the start of the year and tried both the 6.0 and the 6.1 and for me I preferred the 6.0 (current ski). I liked them both however felt that the 6.0 had better cross course speed and kicked you out better before the bout and also felt that I struggled to get the 6.1 to finished the turn. I did only have 1 set on the 6.1 so with my time it may have worked for me, but as soon as I got on the 6.0 I loved it! Best ski I have had in a long time.
  13. I have to admit I am skiing in the modetec Mono and the water is about 14/15 degrees and the air is about the same and I am pretty happy in it. Can honestly say one of the best suits I have ever got. SO flexible and keeps you really warm.
  14. Few shots of when we had Andy down at our lake in the summer doing a demo day. He broke the course record by running 39off as well. Awesome to watch the master in action.
  15. Gotta agree with @razorskier there, his 32off pass was effortless, tbh he didn't look like he was ever going to miss a pass until 43. Great skiing, doing so much for the sport and pushing everyone on. AWESOME! Can't wait for Diablo now.
  16. @BG1 Yeah I have been having a problem with it for a while and I don't want to get stuck into bad habbits. Think I need to fix the entrance into the bout and get my hips up then before the bouy. @gregy yeah the more I watch my self the more I see I am hunched over which will be an issue, more reading and trying is required I think. Cheers guys.
  17. I have been meaning to do this for a while now but just never got round to it. Wondering if you guys could give me some advice on my video. I keep feeling like i am getting held up at 2,4 and therefore not getting enough ankle that I want. I know that i need to get my hips forward pretty much everywhere. The video is me running 2 back to back 22s and then 1 28 off. I normally get deep down 32 off if not run it but feel that I need to change a few things in my earlier passes to make my 32 and 35s come more easily. Any advise on how to improve anything? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DUwiJAuoO3E
  18. My mother knew a woman who bakes cakes and she had this one made for my 21st. Doesn't really help with the photo but still a pretty cool cake.
  19. We tried this a few weeks ago (normally left foot forward to tried right foot) used a old HO ski and I can honestly say was the worst experience ever, my right leg was burning for days after and i couldn't even cross the wake very well. Goes to show you how much stronger your front foot actually is. I do know of someone who make the switch from right foot forward to left foot and he is skiing fine now. Into 28 off @34mph.
  20. @jimbrake. I have only tried hard shells once and they were the FM ones. I thought they were really heavy and could not get used to them. I am now on a D3 T-Factor and a Wiley on the back. I am very happy with this set up, and like it has been said Nate is on a T-Factor, so must be working for him. I keep thinking about trying a reflex but at the moment I am happy with what I am on so why chance, if you really want to change then you can make it work but I wouldn't change for the sake of it.
  21. Interesting perspective. Cant remember the crash but everything was out of the water.
  22. Skied away from the second one. Never let go!
  23. Sorry to hear that @adam. Sounds pretty bad like, cant imagine how you must be feeling. I did my foot in while riding on the attack bindings, Stretched all my ligaments in my foot about from no release. I like the idea of a hard shell but a friend of mine had a really bad experience with one and kind of put me off. Never know, may try it one day.
  24. @gsm_peter yeah extra short haha. We also measured the individual sections of rope against one another and found that my 12m section and @addkerr were different in length. Different length's on all the sections really, obviously they have been used for a season. @CReckard when we measured the ropes we had them as tight as we could get them, obviously not when they are under load behind the boat but as close as we could get them.
