  1. Hey guys, just trying to get a boat that is more well rounded to skiing, wake boarding & surfing. Anyone know if this has the Diamond Hull? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/212348425085622?ref=search&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3A99429bba-4dce-4a32-b561-b8e8394e6843
  2. Any idea on whether this is a Diamond hull? https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/625926885950873/?ref=category_feed&referral_code=null&referral_story_type=post&tracking=browse_serp%3Ae2d21576-c69f-49ce-bff1-066a464f1907
  3. Absolutely agree. BTW - I am dad. I know I am not going to match the ski wake from my 00' Ski Centurion eclipse direct drive. But looking for something that will be a good compromise.
  4. Been reading since I posted and yes reading the same.
  5. Howdy, Any input on the ski wake? Looking for a boat that dad can still do morning ski's and the kids can wake & surf. Thanks, John
  6. @vtmecheng did you place the rear as close as possible to the front?
  7. @DangerBoy, I saw this thread. And was thinking the same thing. I have size 14 feet and as such running an x-large boot. With double boots been wondering how this might effect, if any on boot location. @savaiusini any input?
  8. @BraceMaker , I went back & forth with this a bunch. Almost went with the Omega. As I mentioned I free ski most of the time, with this I am not in the best water most of the time. In chop I will slow down to 34-35. And with wanting to ski more bouys I am plannng on starting out @ 34.
  9. Howdy, Just picked up a 2021 67" Syndicate Omni. This is replacing my 2010 HO S1. I will be putting my Radar Strada front & rear boots on the ski. I am 5'11" @ 190lbs. Usually free skiing @ 15' off, 36mph. But hoping to get some more course time. Looking for any input on setup other then HO stock settings.
  10. At the ski club next to 395?
  11. Anyone in Reno skiing?
  12. So I got the boat. Just took it out for the first time. Upgraded from a 83' centurion. So happy with the wake. It is small and soft. Boat handles great. Thanks again for all of the advice.
  13. Went and looked at the boat today. Going to see if we can work out a deal. Boat is clean. Really appreciate all of the help guys.
  14. Thanks guys. Going to go look at the boat tomorrow.
  15. Rawski, Do you have a Bimini on the boat & if so is tough to go under and over the hump to the bow?
  16. So I have been looking for a sport bowrider & just found an Eclipse direct drive that I am considering. Looking for some input on the boat? Anyone know if it is the same slalom hull as the sport bowrider? Is the step up to the open bow a pain?? Storage???
  17. John Morgan, 44 Live in Reno Nv. My dad & uncle raced drag boats since before I was born. My first ski was behind a 76 sanger drag hydro. Skiing bug really got me in my early 20's. Got away from it while I was racing dirt bikes, street bikes & back to boats. I have a great wife & two amazing boys 3 & 7. Fast boats kept getting more & more. I found myself in a blown injected flat going over 140 mph. Lost a couple of friends to boats & had to get out of the sport. Now I am heavily into Karting & am hoping to get more into skiing this springr. I ski behind an 83' centurion. Really am trying to stay in shape for karting & skiing this winter. Looking for local guys for a weekly ski runs next spring. Also hoping to get solid through the course. Stoked to find BOS, so much help already. Thank you to all the experienced ballers for opening up & helping out.
  18. Yes, last time I skied I rotated the rear only & Liked it.
  19. BraceMaker, I was able to cant the rear boot & squish the toe a little in the front & move the boots a little closer to each other, 3/8". Just like you described. Pretty much ready for the water. Also when looking for set up I realized my fin was to deep, too far back & only had maybe 5 deg on the wing. So much for changing only one thing at a time. I have now changed everything. Looking forward to trying it out.
  20. Can anyone help me find stock locations for a 2010 S1?
  21. Yeah, about 1/8" between the boots. If these were "Hard" shells I would be cutting the toe out of the rear boot. Just measured again 1-1/2" difference. They fell very separated. When I was 13 years old I was not tall for my age, yet I was wearing size 13 shoes. I should have cut my toes of years ago. Would have saved huge on shoes. Now I am 5'11" 185lbs. Luckily my feet stopped @ size 13-1/2.
  22. Ok, So the 2012 Radar Strada's size 13-14 showed up today. I am mounting using the separate plates. Ski is a HO S1 67". Front boot all the way forward. 30-3/8" from the outside of the heal to the tail. My rubber boots were @ 30-5/8". The rear boot being closed toe ends up 1" further back. I really liked the balance before, but never tested the rubber boots in different positions. Any input?
  23. Writing notes down for things to try. Bracemaker, I Watched this video a few times paying attention to how he is getting up.
  24. Ski Girl, Don't think it is the buoyancy. My old HO weighed a ton & All I can figure is it taught me some real bad habits, used to think it was because the old ski sank. But with the new HO at first it was better. but now I am struggling again. I am also self taught. When I am getting up I absolutely sink. First hit I am under. Ski turns sideways, Takes every bit of strength I have & the boat has to work to get me up. Been watching a lot of video's. May be as simple as letting my arms go straight, relaxing & letting the ski come to me. The first time I ever skied was on a single. Got up my very first time. Been getting worse since then, LOL.... Running joke with the guys I ski with is, "yeah you ski better then us, if you can get out of the water".
