  1. Learned how to run 39 for the first time in my life on Oct. 4th by knowing when to let off of my lean and transition behind the boat... In other words; DON'T PULL TOO LONG...!!! Life long goal finally happened...! :)
  2. My wife and I are traveling to the great state of TX to visit family for the Thanksgiving Holiday. Was wondering if any Ballers knew of a site; and or someone to contact around the Austin, TX area that would perhaps still be chasing bouy's that time of year...? I live in the Midwest and many have closed up shop in this area. Would love to get a few sets in if possible on our trip. I located a private ski community on the GoogleEarth link on BOS titled (Frame Switch). This site is located Southeast of Georgetown, TX where my family lives. Does anyone know whom this site belongs to, or anyone to contact there...? I am a MM rated skier and would be more than happy to bring gas or $ for sets... Thank you... TC
  3. ShaneH - Well; since there were no I-phones back then, pics would be hard to dig up... As far as the stories; I'm sure that I have plenty, but if I were to open up that box, I'm certain that Horton would have way more on me than I do on him... LOL...! Not going to chance that one..........
  4. Ok; I don't post often, but I had to chime in here... Is this the longest BOS thread thus fare...? I was completely amazed by all of the post in this thread that brought back so many great memories of my childhood. The one that got me the most, was Wally's post on the ACME ski that Horton designed and built when we were at ULM. Back in the day it was "NLU"... I recall several of us running deep into 35 off on a ski that Horton built while in school. I thought it was amazing that he could do that...! The graphics looked like a bumble bee if I do recall... Oh; and I had the pleasure (if you call it that) of rooming with Horton at ULM... Good Times...! P.S. I still have an EP "Wing Tip" trick that I still turn flips on when not swerving through the course... Great Thread...!!!
  5. @JohnCox, How much are you asking for the Nano 1...? If you don't wish to post the amount on this site, then please e-mail me at tcrow@klostermanbakery.com. Thanks!
  6. @Horton , I want to thank you and @OB for putting such an Awesome event together...! I believe this event will have a positive impact on our sport and hopefully will become an annual event. I have skied on the BD tour since returning to the sport in 2008 and plan on competing in this event. I have another Great BD competitor that is going to try and fit it into his schedule as well, and my everyday ski partner will also be competing. This is an exciting event that everyone should partake in considering the logistics of other surrounding events; i.e. The Masters, etc... Thanks again for all that you do for our sport, and we are excited to see you and all of the other Ballers in Atlanta...!
  7. Comment regarding inquiry surrounding D3 skis... Keep in mind that I was out of the sport for 14 years before continuing to read... Started back in 2008 on a D3 X5. Qualified for the BD Finals on that ski. Loved it and then transitioned over to the D3 X7 when it came out. Didn't like the X7 quite as much. Transitioned to the HO A2 earlier this year and ran a PB that was deep into 39. Recently; tried a Goode Nano Twist. This ski could possibly be a test ski that some would call the "Hybrid"... Or; a test leading up to the N1. But right out of the gate; tied my PB and can run my 38's back to back with ease. For what it is worth; I too love the customer service that D3 has offered, but the performance of the Goode is breathtaking...
