  1. Hey - “I’m from the government and I’m here to help!” Wake up folks!! It hasn’t been that long since we were all wearing masks (or forced to wear them). What lessons did we learn from that?!
  2. I just use black latex gloves - (Venom brand) under my normal gloves and it really helps. Doesn’t keep your hand warm, but it sure does keep the wind off. I also ski with a stocking hat to keep my ears warm.
  3. Starting the kids out at Skifluid this upcoming spring break. Really looking forward to it as my hope is to sit in the boat and absorb as much as I can to reinforce the teaching when we get home. Also - being this will likely be the first passes of the season I want to start them out right.
  4. A nice 21F and windy this morning. On the bright side I’m setting my sights on one more ski day before the end of the year - have to try out the new heater core!
  5. A blast from the past is Kilo Kai on the Warp ski!
  6. @Bdecker I would use the nitrile gloves under your normal gloves. I usually try and ski once in November and have found the nitrile gloves keep the wind chill down significantly. Without those gloves my hands would be too cold after two passes to even hold the handle.
  7. This time of year any warm temperature days are accompanied by a lot of wind from the south. Water temp isn’t too bad and air isn’t too bad, it the wind is what kills it. There might be a day or two left that we can ski, but we can’t count on it this time of year.
  8. Really excited to try the new 24 Vapor. This just confirms it!
  9. @horton - your comment regarding the amount of work required is what drew me to this ski. Plus I see how well my wife has progressed on her Radar = #1 on my short list.
  10. Alright Ballers: let’s get some feedback on your shortlist of skis for 2024. My list is three skis: 1. 2024 Radar Vapor 2. La Point LP1 3. The Parsons Project Pineaple My wife has a 2022 Vapor and it absolutely rips. The cross course speed is phenomenal and she can turn very well on it. Plus Radar supports us all so much - Spraymakers. The LaPoint ski is quite intriguing as the brains behind this ski are one of the best in the business. The Parsons Project Ski - well we know what Nick has done with another manufacturer and how those skis have been raved about over the years.
  11. Thanks for the review @horton - I am going to demo this ski next year. I am assuming that you tried different front boot placements on the ski, how sensitive to boot placement was the ski or did it feel similar over a wide range of settings?
  12. I have a mirror I’m not using if interested.
  13. Still on my C75 Denali. Wife is on a ‘22 Vapor that truly rips - she ran a 32’ off @30mph last night. The three most interesting skis to me right now are the C95, ‘24 Vapor, and the newest KD. Maybe a fourth would be a Goode.

    New Vapor Boot

Got my new Radars at the beginning of June. I personally love these boots and the performance of them is crazy good (for me). The first time I used them it did seem like the top bungee moves all over the place, but I have since gotten used to lacing it in place. I do a twist of the cord so I can wrap it from the top of the clip instead of the bottom. This helps to keep them in place better. The BOA did take a little getting used to at first but after two weeks you will find the happy medium for how snug you want them to be. I have found that even on the looser side of how tight the BOA can go I still maintain great edge control of the ski. Just my two cents and hopefully you can adjust quickly.
  15. How did they ski @Horton? Looking to get another pair of gloves for my rotation.
  16. I just upgraded to the new Vapor boots and have a size 11 that I’m not using.
  17. Hey folks - I now have the opportunity to get these bindings. How does the fit and size compare to previous versions of the vapor boot? For comparison sake I run a size 11 in the older style boot with the insert. Should I stay the same? Thanks!
  18. That might need to be the post of the year @mmosley899 That is fantastic!
  19. Great Podcast @MarcusBrownand Jenny! The three categories really helps to make the information manageable. Great work.
  20. It may also depend on what octane of fuel you are using in the boat and what speed control system you are using.
  21. @Hortoncan you elaborate a little more on leaning harder? I interpret this as three options/ways this could be achieved in the course. 1. Rolling your ski on a higher angle 2. Pulling more on the rope 3. Perhaps you mean both at the same time?
  22. Haha - that would be fun but unfortunately not in the cards at the moment. Hope it sells soon for ya!
  23. Nice looking boat! Wish I lived closer!
