  1. Thank you for all your comments!! No first year design and production flaws. Plenty of power. We have a 1900' lake with turn islands. Pulled a 36mph skier with plenty of time for the speed control to engage before the greens.
  2. Thankfully 5 figures and it helped having a 2015 Pro Star(all available options) with 130 hours as a trade.
  3. All who have skied behind my new SN are staying with their normal setting.
  4. I was fortunate to get a lottery spot back in April for one of the first production Ski Nautiques. Back in 2014, I ordered without driving nor skiing behind the new Pro Star, selling my 200. What a mistake that was. I had speed problems getting up to speed into the course, steering problems and other things. I let the 200 go early to a friend several weeks before the Pro Star was to be delivered. I missed my 200 from day 1. Problems continued and I will give Mastercraft great credit as they built me a new 2015 and took my boat back. While the 2015 had many improvement's, I still missed my 200. I want to thank Matt Rini for taking time to talk with me about the differences I would see with the new SN. He described what tracking difficulties I was having and how the new SN would be very much like my old 200. He did not over sell and stated that the tracking was as good and maybe slightly better than the 200. This is true. All my ski partners at our lake have 200's so it's easy to compare. Everyone who has skied behind it really likes it. It is the best wake I have experienced and drives great. The SN is very well designed. The new screen is quite stunning and very easy to navigate. On pull settings, most everyone is using their setting from the 200's. I am very glad to have a boat that tracks and skies like one would expect. Will done Nautique!! I want to also thank N3Boatworks for treating me with excellent service and giving me a fair trade price.
  5. To me and others, there is no noticeable wake difference between the OEM 4 blade and the new 3 blade.
  6. No word on what is expected. The hole shot is much better and acceleration is noticeable better. Mastercraft is still working on my performance issue. I was surprised only -1mph on the top end. It seems like rpm's at WOT should be higher.
  7. I'm pretty sure most knew, but for those who didn't, I have the 5.7L
  8. My passenger took some pictures of various speeds as well as WOT. I just received from Mastercraft 14x13.0 110 Cup 3 Ski Pro V-3. BTW, WOT with the OEM 4 Blade was 42.0 mph per GPS and I forgot to note the RPM'S.
  9. 34.2 was 3950-4050 depending on zero off adjusting for the skier. I will report 36 and WOT. My WOT without a skier, naturally, GPS was 42 with the OEM four blade. It looks like I have a version 3 manufactured July 1.
  10. Hole shot solved. The outs are very close to my 2011 Nautique. Faster acceleration and no adverse wakes while running 3-400 more rpm's.
  11. I just received from the MC factory a 14x13.0 110 Cup 3 Ski Pro V-3 and will report hopefully tonight if the weather cooperates.
  12. A slight correction, the bolt that is on the end of the rudder shaft is threaded and needs to be tight on that shaft. The shaft is threaded so the bold can be tight without any movment.
  13. For my situation, the bolts are only threaded to a point on the shaft. The nut was only able to tightened so far. This left extra movement when steering input was added yielding late or more input needed and then too much correction to reverse it. Now when making slight corrective movements, I get an immediate and less correction than before. On another note my WOT is 41mph with the OEM 4 blade.
  14. Chuck, I can't tell you how much I appreciate your 'fix' for the sloppy steering using the washers. I used nylon washers and my Prostar is a completely different boat. Now when I move the steering wheel while on the course, I feel immediate movement of the boat. Thank you
  15. Please see this thread, http://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/9690/prostar-2014-for-sale/p2 page 2 with the pictures installing washers on the rudder and steering linkage. I did this today and my new Prostar is a very different tracking boat. Greatly improved and responsive. Thank you Chuck Dickey, you made my day. Quoting Chuck's post, "I drive lots of different boats, brands and years and my new ProStar is the best IMHO. I know there are rudder adjustments that can make this boat feel like it's on rails. I had the opportunity to speak with Will Bush and he told me how to dial it in. These picture show a couple of washers I installed to take out any play in the linkage. Worked great, thanks Will."
  16. My wife just reminded my that I showed my doctor a typical run. While he was at a knee replacement seminar, it was showed this to other doctors and they all stated that it should be fine. Open water skiing with rough water and rollers might have a different result with different stresses. Besides draining your bank account, you do not want to go thru the operation again.
  17. Stevie, I can not tell you how much anxiety I had after the 57 days on the first deep water start. I did not know how it would feel, whether it would break somehow or twist and snap. Nothing but a smooth out and no feeling of stress or pain. It's been that way for over two years. One thing I can warn you on: while pulling off my dry suit and stepping on the suit pulling the new knee joint apart, I pulled too hard and the knee came out of its resting area. I was upset but just sat down and gently pushed it back into the socket. I will not ever pull the knee in this matter again. No harmful lasting damage was done. Then while talking to another knee replacement patient, he said he was not able to fly fish with waders. If you think about it, when your are in unstable bottom conditions, you are pulling your knee apart in the same matter. After two seasons of waterskiing and riding a road bicycle 5000 miles per year, my active life is back again.
  18. I was 58 when the surgery was done.
  19. March of 2012, I had a total knee replacement. First ski run 57 days later. I had the worst bone on bone that the surgeon had ever seen. I chose the Biomet Signature knee where they did an MRI and built the cutting jigs and the replacement knee was designed just for me. Preplanned pins where the surgeon did no measuring and the accuracy was 0.1 mm. I am not a short line skier maybe 28off 3-4 times a season but at least I'm skiing again with no pain. 13 physical therapy where they knew I wanted to ski and soon. I hope this helps and I can provide more information.
  20. There is nothing I dislike about the Prostar. Excellent gel coat and very crisp color lines. Everywhere I look, it seems as if it was thought out completely. The ski racks, Bimini Top, gages and Zero off operation just to start.
  21. The deep water start if almost full with no shoulder fatigue. My Nautique was 50%. It just feels different. Our lake is approximately 1900 feet long, (with turn islands) absolutely no problem with getting the Zero Off Speed Control beep plenty early before the 55's. I have the standard 5.7. We do not jump either.
