  1. Always looking for skiers in the mid island region. I ski on Sproat mainly, but will free ski on Brannen (in Nanaimo) for a quick morning set. Hit me up if anyone needs a third or a pull.
  2. I think this is analogous to wakeboarding where you can spin frontside or backside. There are 8 different 360s you can do on a wakeboard. Edit: never mind... after watching again he is starting in the same position and rotating the same direction... same trick.
  3. Some ideas for you, Horton. The peg board, baseball pull-up grips, plyo box and dumbbell rack were DIY. The smart trainer automatically adjusts your resistance to follow a GPS route of your choosing. You can bike anywhere in the world without leaving home. Not as fun as getting outside, but I’m in the same boat as you with a few little ones in tow... There is room in the middle for skipping rope, stretching, yoga, etc. The top TV swivels out so my wife can do her yoga/workout videos.
  4. Bruce_Butterfield I’ve always tricked in a Wileys (though I never tricked more than around 3500 points, so I’m clearly no expert!!). What do I need to know about getting into a hard shell for tricks (for kids) Do reflex come with a boot, or just the release/plate? Any idea how long a boot would last a girl of that age (ie, what range of sizes does a boot fit?)? Do you just replace liners or do you replace the whole shell, etc? Would it be possible to share a ski with me if I went to a reflex too (ie, do kids and adult boots use the same size binding plate/release?) I’m sure I’ll have many more questions if we go this route! Thx for your time.
  5. What type of binding do you guys recommend? My daughter is 8 and I have a spare trick that she would love to try.
  6. Never tried it but it seems an old handle would be the right length off the rear tow point.
  7. I used to wakeboard with this handle and always wondered why they don’t make ski handles like this. https://images.evo.com/imgp/700/15674/176928/accurate-proof-carbon-wakeboard-handle-2008-.jpg The v is much too small to fit a head through.
  8. No cell service at the lake so the app doesn’t work for me. Love the idea though. We don’t get down to the course as much as I’d like so this would be great.
  9. Hyperlite broadcast is a great board for smaller wakes as well as learning and cruising. Plenty of board to ride ropeless behind the Nautique with a couple sacks in it. Big enough to ride double with the kids, etc. Take the middle fin off and it loosens up for spins, etc, but you will likely need more than a direct drive wake for that.
  10. One day I was out trick skiing and completely wiffed on my backflip and landed on my head. My 3 year old looked over the side of the boat and told me “hold on tighter dad!!”
  11. Hard to tell on my phone, but it looks like on the hs you are letting the handle get away from you a bit and dropping your hips back. Stand tall and push your hips forward. On the ts make sure to edge through the top of the wake. You are throwing it at the bottom of the wake. As others have said, start closer to the wake and really load that line.
  12. @wayne, I believe the vid you posted is a run through a channel connecting kalamalka lake and wood lake in British Columbia.
  13. You guys are making me think about how a 'strava' for skiers might work!
