  1. That's good to hear, thanks. Nothing to it but to do it!!
  2. I'm guessing you guys that skied right away didn't need surgery. I was in a brace for 4 months post op.
  3. Hello, anyone have experience skiing after a complete distal, lower, bicep tear. I tore mine in March 2021 and am pretty much back to normal but I am nervous about getting back on a slalom ski. I've looked at the Goode PowerVest to help ease my mind but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Curious how long you might have waited or how long it took you to ease back into it. TIA
  4. Thank you all for the input. Looking at it as a winter project so might give it a shot. If I do I'll let you know what I find and share the results.
  5. @Andre not that I can find on their website @oldjeep I get that the old carpet won't fall out, might be ready for a project. I think the upgrade will be worth it, I've always disliked carpet in boats. I took @thager recommendation and am also looking at the Deckadance marine carpet. That may be easier because it doesn't need to be glued down.
  6. Has anyone created a Seadek template for a 2011 200 Closed Bow that they wouldn't mind sharing? Or has anyone removed the carpet and replaced with Seadek that could provide some tips or advice to do so? Boat is almost 10 years old and the carpet has seen better days. I would like to replace it with seadek. Thanks for the help.
  7. Does the 2011 200 with the 409 closed cooling have a water cooled transmission cooler also? I am in Massachusetts and as the lake water temp rises the engine temp also rises, not terrible but instead of staying at 175 degrees it creeps up to 200 degrees. I have cleaned the heat exchanger for the closed loop engine cooling but was wondering if there's another smaller heat exchanger for the transmission. The boat has approximately 1,800 hours on and runs fine.
  8. Who uses video coaching to help with skiing technique and ski setup? If you do, who do you use and how much does it cost? Does anyone on this site offer these services? It seems like a good coach can save a lot of time in the process of getting better at slalom.
  9. This year I am doing CrossFit for the first time. I know it doesn't work the exact same muscles as skiing but the way the workouts are structured it work multiple muscle groups at once, like skiing. It will also get you gassed as fast as skiing. Working out with a group, like skiing with pals, also forces you to push yourself more than you would in your basement alone. So far I'm liking it and hoping it will help with my durability when ski season starts.
  10. @OldboyII Thanks for the advice. Sounds like a good process to use. If the ski is fiberglass why wouldn't you use a fiberglass resin and hardener to fill the void instead of two part epoxy or JB Weld? Not trying to argue just curious.
  11. @Bdecker Thanks, I hope so. I'm gonna let the Quest dry out a bit more and try to fix it for a back up. You must ski with Mike?
  12. @OldboyII the ding is about 9" from the tip and 18" from the front binding. I watched video of my skiing and that part of the ski hits the wake every time I cross. Not feeling confident that I will be able to trust jb weld to keep it together under that condition. Luckily I have other options.
  13. This vest looks interesting. Was wondering if any of you guys are wearing it or have tried it? Click here to see the vest
  14. For those of you who say it's an easy fix PM me and we can talk price. The ski is great shape otherwise.
  15. I have an FM Evo rear that I modified the toe so the Reflex release would work. Works well for me. I little more support that than the R-style and you can adjust the ankle flex with the top strap. Never any type of release issue and no scared shin.
  16. Just wanted to see how many Ballers have faced this. I popped the handle after turning one ball last night and the handle destroyed my ski. You can see in the pictures that it split the ski at the top seam and you can see the core. Paul Crawford from D3 was great, he got right back to me but said that they don't repair skies. Which I can understand this for liability reasons. He also said that the core may be fractured. I don't think that's ever a good thing to hear. Have any of you had this happen and what did you do? Did you say the hell with it and get another ski or did you try to fix it yourself? If you fixed it yourself how did you do it? Thanks for the help.
  17. So I removed the thermostat from the automotive spot and replaced the thermostat in the heat exchanger. I replaced the impeller, it wasn't bad but was worn. I pulled the end caps off of the heat exchanger and the gaskets where all swelled up and broken apart. I tried to clean the heat exchanger the best I could and replaced the gaskets. I was able to bleed the cooling system and when I drive it at 27 mph it runs fine at 175. When I try to run it at 36 mph the temp creeps up and climbs over 200 and causes the lights to come on. Is there a better way to clean any debris from the heat exchanger? I removed the fresh water outlet hose and there seems to be good flow when the engine idles. Just not sure if there is enough flow when the engine is at speed. The only other thing I can think of is that the short piece of exhaust tube after the manifold may be collapsed. Is there a way to confirm that? Thanks for the help.
  18. Thanks for the comments. So the thermostat goes by the heat exchanger? Is there anything special that needs to be done to look inside the heat exchanger?
  19. I need some help with my 2011 200 6.0 overheating. It was only doing it when pulling barefooters at 39 mph for a long pass but did it this morning to me while skiing the course at 34 mph on the 4th pass of our 3rd set. I will try to give some background of the boat without boring you guys. This is my third season with boat. I bought it with 1250 hours on it, guessing it was a ski school boat, it now has about 1450. The first season it did it overheated and went into limp mode a couple of times. The second season I changed the impeller, temp sensor and gauge because it read over while 100 it was cold. The gauge seams more accurate. This year I installed a new thermostat, when I took it apart I found there was not one there. It does have a closed cooling system and the coolant level is fine. I'm just curious where to look next. I have not pulled the caps off of the heat exchanger yet, not sure if that's the next step. I'm also not sure if the exhaust hose can collapse and restrict flow. Or if the engine water pump can have impeller issues. Any suggestions would be great. Thanks for your help.
