  1. That's good to hear, thanks. Nothing to it but to do it!!
  2. I'm guessing you guys that skied right away didn't need surgery. I was in a brace for 4 months post op.
  3. Hello, anyone have experience skiing after a complete distal, lower, bicep tear. I tore mine in March 2021 and am pretty much back to normal but I am nervous about getting back on a slalom ski. I've looked at the Goode PowerVest to help ease my mind but haven't pulled the trigger yet. Curious how long you might have waited or how long it took you to ease back into it. TIA
  4. Thank you all for the input. Looking at it as a winter project so might give it a shot. If I do I'll let you know what I find and share the results.
  5. @Andre not that I can find on their website @oldjeep I get that the old carpet won't fall out, might be ready for a project. I think the upgrade will be worth it, I've always disliked carpet in boats. I took @thager recommendation and am also looking at the Deckadance marine carpet. That may be easier because it doesn't need to be glued down.
  6. Has anyone created a Seadek template for a 2011 200 Closed Bow that they wouldn't mind sharing? Or has anyone removed the carpet and replaced with Seadek that could provide some tips or advice to do so? Boat is almost 10 years old and the carpet has seen better days. I would like to replace it with seadek. Thanks for the help.
  7. Does the 2011 200 with the 409 closed cooling have a water cooled transmission cooler also? I am in Massachusetts and as the lake water temp rises the engine temp also rises, not terrible but instead of staying at 175 degrees it creeps up to 200 degrees. I have cleaned the heat exchanger for the closed loop engine cooling but was wondering if there's another smaller heat exchanger for the transmission. The boat has approximately 1,800 hours on and runs fine.
  8. Who uses video coaching to help with skiing technique and ski setup? If you do, who do you use and how much does it cost? Does anyone on this site offer these services? It seems like a good coach can save a lot of time in the process of getting better at slalom.
  9. This year I am doing CrossFit for the first time. I know it doesn't work the exact same muscles as skiing but the way the workouts are structured it work multiple muscle groups at once, like skiing. It will also get you gassed as fast as skiing. Working out with a group, like skiing with pals, also forces you to push yourself more than you would in your basement alone. So far I'm liking it and hoping it will help with my durability when ski season starts.
  10. @OldboyII Thanks for the advice. Sounds like a good process to use. If the ski is fiberglass why wouldn't you use a fiberglass resin and hardener to fill the void instead of two part epoxy or JB Weld? Not trying to argue just curious.
  11. @Bdecker Thanks, I hope so. I'm gonna let the Quest dry out a bit more and try to fix it for a back up. You must ski with Mike?
  12. @OldboyII the ding is about 9" from the tip and 18" from the front binding. I watched video of my skiing and that part of the ski hits the wake every time I cross. Not feeling confident that I will be able to trust jb weld to keep it together under that condition. Luckily I have other options.
