  1. The most likely scenario is that the stepper motors that move the needles are dead. Happens often on these gauges. The Malibucrew talks about a DIY option to replace these. Definitely try plugging in the gauge to another plug first before opening up the gauge to replace these small stepper motors. You can find the stepper motors online for cheap, they are used in cars as well. I would recommend replacing them all if you go the DIY route. Also, watch when you turn the key one click to the right, these needles should vibrate a little. There is also a way to test the gauge functionality by pressing the speed adjust button while the screen displays lake temp, or some combination. Someone here might have the exact process. I'm not near my boat now to verify.
  2. Had the same thing with my boat. Upgraded to latest, I believe 9.2, and it made a world of a difference. Struggled immensely with things before the upgrade.
  3. Would be great to see the date on the mobile version. Definitely makes sorting through the newer posts easier. Used it all the time on the desktop version. Thanks @LarryG for all you do!!
  4. @adamhcaldwell is that just another sock filter or a completely different one?
  5. @ResponseSkier @adamhcaldwell when you changed the sock filters on the bottom of the fuel pump, was there a third filter on the inside bottom of the pump? I changed the two on the bottom outside, but noticed another on the inside bottom.... Doesn't look like it does much of anything.
  6. 2023 Nationals dates were updated on USA Waterski website. Aug. 08 - 12, 2023 West Palm Beach, Florida
  7. @adamhcaldwell I am thinking that is likely the scenario too. Do you know the part number by chance? Is it the Fuel pump fuel filter sock?

  9. Could octane level cause this type of engine code? I'm using the manufacture recommended level, but would premium cause this to go away?

  11. Insight on timing and place for Regionals 2023? I see Nationals is a little earlier next year, Aug 1-5.
  12. I don't believe that there is a FCC on this particular engine. I did see that online and looked for it and can not find one if there is one.
  13. Have a 2017 Malibu with the PCM 409 6L engine. Got a low fuel pressure warning that only comes on when at full throttle. No loss of power when pulling skier up or maintaining 34 or 36 mph. Around 730 hours on the engine. Thoughts on why this is only happening at full throttle? Fuel pump issue, fuel filter, or fuel pressure regulator? Would this be hard to fix diy?
  14. I have a Helix. PM me if interested.
  15. Any updates of those riding the new XTR Team compared to the old XTR?

    Gauge issues

@BTheis Figured as much. I've been using a razor blade as well and just rotating the gauge as I have the razor blade up against it. Makes even more sense as to why @Ray used silicone to reattach. Would save a lot of time if needing to do this again, which is likely the case given these stepper motors.

@BTheis what was the method you used to separate the lens from the case?

    Gauge issues

@Ray Thanks for the write-up! Why silicone instead of a glue for plastic? Is that so it is easier to disassemble should the motors need replacing again?

@Ray do you have more insight on how to replace the stepper motor?
  20. Best thing to do is try them on as you would when you ski. Example, both myself and another skier I know both wear a size 10.5 shoe, we both have carbitex boots, I wear a size 10 comfortably and the other skier wears a size 11 since the 10 is too tight. Slight differences in foot shape can make one size feel better than another. If the size 10 is snug and not overly tight when not molded, it should mold nicely to your foot and be comfortable.
  21. What is the typical wait time for tournaments?
  22. Seeing the topic of Nationals 2022, where are some of the Regional tournaments for 2022?
  23. Anyone have details on these lakes in Granbury, TX? How are the lakes? How many slalom courses? Are they busy? What is the town like? Any details would be greatly appreciated about the lakes and surrounding area.
  24. Vapor Lock Pump Kit Adding this fuel pump kit fixed my vapor lock completely on my '05. No issues since installing. I believe it is just a low pressure pump that pushes the fuel up the line instead of a fuel pump mounted near the engine that pulls the fuel. I'm sure others can chime in on the exact mechanics of it.
  25. Is the sizing of the profile bindings comparable to the vapor carbitex? The person I am buying for fits the 7/8 profile, would the 8 vapor be the same size?
