  1. When we first brought the Hovercraft to market, during that first photoshoot with the team, we all tried to out-do each other with how slow and how short we could ski it in the course. Don't underestimate what it can do (not just go straight). It's a super playful, very fun ski that folks of any ability can have fun on.
  2. Hey folks, sorry I've been a bit less active on here than in the past; getting pulled in many different directions over what was a VERY busy season with a lot of positives to reflect on... The Syndicate demo program has ended for the season. This is a temporary situation while we work to improve the overall demo experience for the future. In 2023, due to the overwhelming success of the Works 01 and 02 as well as the Pro and Omega Max, we were simply not able to keep up with demand as well as we would have liked. I give you our most sincere apology if you contacted us this season about trying a ski and we were not able to connect with you. We will do better in 2024. Between now and the relaunch of the program, please feel free to reach out to demo@hosports.com and either I or someone from the team will accommodate. Much love to all you Ballers and we'll talk soon!
  3. @waterskicoreyNo change to the Works 01 and 02 for 2024.
  4. No change in surface area from 2018-2023. We do occasionally tweak the insert positions and fin settings as we acquire more field data over a product's lifespan. Hope this helps! I do think the 67 is the right size for your weight and boat speed...
  5. @davidslalomskier That sounds like a very positive first few rides. Thank you for the report, sir!
  6. Here is a pretty thorough discussion on 01 and 02 from Sept. 2022 with Dave and Marcus on some of the differences along with comparisons to some of our older shapes. If you don't already subscribe to our YouTube channel, it might be worthwhile to do so. We've built up a pretty substantial library of content here to help folks understand what we are doing. Hope this helps!
  7. As with anything in ski design, there are few absolutes without considering all the variables. Generally yes, a deeper concave by itself will have a more connected or "deeper-riding" feel. We've tried to offset the difference in concave depth by adding some surface area and adjusting the bevels in the right places. Is it as fast as the 01? Maybe not, but I would say it's certainly not a slow ski. 01 and 02 are intended to have two very different feels on the water. Does this help?
  8. Howdy ballers, Apologies for being absent from this thread until now. Both skis are now available in our factory demo program for US customers, but here is what I can tell you: Works 01 - Due to its medium volume concave and width profile, this is probably going to be the better choice for the skier who has more finesse and knows how to manage speed and control the handle heading in to the buoy line. Works 02 - With roughly 1/10th of an inch more width in the forebody and a deeper concave, this ski is going to slam a more aggressive turn at the buoy and perhaps allow you to "scrap around" if you are working on perfecting those harder passes. I agree with Horton in that Works 02 will probably have the wider mass-appeal, but thus far, the adoption has been pretty even for both models. There's maybe a higher chance of instant success on the Works 02, but if a skier is willing to persevere through some unfamiliarity at first, they will likely be rewarded with better scores on the Works 01. Again, everything is now available to try in our DEMO PROGRAM or through select dealers like Perfski, etc... There is no better way to know what's best for you than to try the skis for yourself!
  9. @lundberg The latter is true. We scale the sizes on both length and width, but the lengths will be a touch shorter than the conventional sizes you are used to seeing. We've been doing this on and off for about 10 years without really calling it out. Then in 2021 and 2022 we put the actual lengths and max widths on the ski graphic.
  10. @Mastercrafter No, they're different lengths and widths. Completely new shapes.
  11. @lundbergFor 2023, both the Works 01 and the Works 02 will be available in:Medium (equiv. to 66")Large (equiv. to 67")XLarge (equiv. to 68") @SlalomSteveActually we have 5 B) :Works 01Works 02Syndicate ProSyndicate AlphaSyndicate Omega Max @brettmainerCheck out Syndicate Omni and all your beer and spray wishes will be granted! ;)
  12. @kurtiscompletus I'm a solid 11 or 11.5 depending on the shoe. Generally I prefer the 12/13 for me. These boots have adjustable overlays, so you should be able to tighten or loosen either one depending on which you choose. I think if you've tried the 10/11 and it was comfortable, go with that.
  13. Safe to assume you are using the M6 bolts we supply with the boots? The inserts are plenty deep to accommodate. Could you snap a couple pictures of your setup to help diagnose?
  14. @Rednucleus very sorry to see this and wish your friend a speedy and complete recovery. That ski is a 2018 model, almost five years since it came out of the press. Hard the know what kind of bumps, dings and drops it has experienced in that time even if it only sat in a pro shop. If this ski was purchased new in the last year or so from an authorized dealer we will replace no questions asked. We experience maybe a 1% warranty rate on skis in that timeframe but it is always unsettling when it happens to you. Feel free to PM me directly if any questions.
