  1. wow... great motivational speeches guys. thanks to all.
  2. The same things happen to me. I think I have the length already secure, and suddenly, one day out of nowhere, I feel that pass is impossible (sometime lasts about a week or more) .
  3. I ski on a Goode 9900SL, would anyone recommend me the D3? My level is beginner - 58km/h 22,28 and 32offs
  4. Sorry for my late response. I mean of what you call a bad slalom day. Lets say, you run 28,32,35 and some at 38... but one or two days you go and don't even run 35 -- or even struggle at 32. I am having most of my days like that and I don't know how to ski more consistently. Any suggestions?
  5. Let's see... 1. How many days do you ski every week? 2. Normally how many good days in that week? 3. Normally how many bad days in that week?
  6. What do you guys use to relax your muscles (upper and lower body) to avoid injury or strains or even a pinched nerve?
  7. Hey Guys, I suffer a lot from my back and I don't know the reason of it. Maybe it is because I didn't use to warm up or stretch when I first started to ski, and for holding on to all slacks. When I ski a lot, I get a lot of tension and soreness on my upper back, just beneath my shoulder blades -- so I was wondering what stretches and warmups for your entire body, especially your back, do you use? -Thank you
  8. Hey guys, Everytime I get a lot of speed on the wakes, like in the gates, somehow I get into slack at 1 ball. Yesterday I tried cutting less aggressive and focusing on carrying less speed to 1 ball, and turns out I was earlier and without slack, than cutting really aggressive. Is this right? Is this the right way or was I just lucky?
  9. Hey Crashman, My best advice is not to change everything at once (you won't make it alive). Before giving to much thought to your hips, try to focus on cutting (not going flat through wakes)-- arms straight, handle as low as possible, chest open to the boat, and aiming to where you want the ski to go. When you feel the cutting is balanced enough, try to focus the the turn... go step by step. Go on YouTube and look for Terry Winter's tutorials for example, or look at Chris Rossi's style, etc.. and try to see what they do and how you can improve your technique with their's (some things will not work for you, but some might help)-- NOT sure if it helps mate. P.S. Nice fall
  10. 6ball thank you for response. When you say "let the boat start pulling you up from the lean" -- what do you exactly mean and how do I get to that point?
  11. Hello Guys, Some info: I am right foot, use reflex binding front and approach on my rear. I will describe some mistakes that I'm doing now, that didn't do before and don't know how to fix... It's not that I do them in every pass, but i'm doing them more often. Cutting on my onside: when I cut, most of the times my shoulders tend to go in the direction of the boat, making me get to ball 1,3,5 with losts of slack -- and not being able to counter rotate. Pre-Turn and Turn: Sometimes i feel after cutting and going into the turn that I am on my back foot (all the weight) and as a result it is impossible to slow down and give any direction to the ski = slack. Cutting Offside: I tend to always do good offside cutting but sometimes at the moment I have to initiate the turn, I cut too long making me get to ball 2.4,6 with lots of speed. Brain stuff: In my head I know after the wake I can no longer pull, I have to slow down, but I have the sensation that if I do it most of the times, I'm not going to get to the buoys. My personal best is 4 at 13m (32off). I'm a beginner skier to short lines. Any suggestions from you guys or technique that has worked for you having done this mistakes would really make my day. Thank you
  12. Jefflyman, that's what I think it is. Maybe a torn muscle as the guys that were so kind to answer in this forum tell me. I'll see how I fix my back to get into 35off. I haven't run it still and wish to do it soon. Thanks man
  13. I live in the Dominican Republic. Professional water ski is not very known around here so I know doctors have no clue at all what is happening. The information you guys gave me about the RIB is very useful (thank you). I am going to consider doing both: Magnetic Resonance Imaging and X-ray. But there is something curious... anti inflammatory / muscle relaxer- kill my pain. If it was a rib, would anti inflammatory do the same thing?
