  1. I'll add another who agrees with @LeonL and @Orlando76 - I saw Jodi Fisher coaching the course with the same method and took it back to my local collegiate teams and I saw a pretty drastic shift in the learning process for their skiers.
  2. Can't wait for these royalty checks to roll in...
  3. I think another issue to get into would be how accurate the gps units would have to be on each of these (especially if you're looking at using these in tourneys with record-capable skiers). Currently, cell phone gps's accuracy is nowhere near close enough to get buoys set correctly [with error margins over a meter]. Even standalone gps units' accuracy can't beat a meter.
  4. we might've done some skiing in lawrence... and yes, we were being overly obnoxious.
  5. I'm good friends with the Hamilton family [wonderful people] and am looking forward to some summer tourneys in the area. Interviewing in KC and Topeka this week, so hopefully I'll be a little closer to the lakes in the area this summer!
  6. @ed obermeier Are you down on country lakes? I didn't realize you lived in the area! Slash, I didn't realize many BOS'ers were in the area.
  7. We did new years day skiing at Spray Lake in Wichita, KS. Air temp of 20 and water temp of 32. Luckily, the geese on the lake kept the surface from totally icing over! Dry suit and cooler full of super hot water helped mitigate the cold! All the ice made wiping down the boat pretty difficult!
  8. there's a lake in topeka with a course on it that i've heard of a buddy skiing on in the past, but i'd suggest talking to the people at MoKan in Lawrence. Current president of the site is Todd Bays and when I was talking to them last week it sounded like they still have memberships available. The lake in Emporia is Super Lake, owned by Jason Lewis' family [an old Kansas University waterskiier]. They let my old team [kansas state] ski down there a good while back. They aren't BOSers, but if you need anybody's contacts let me know!
  9. @Chuck_Dickey I love the BOS sticker
  10. my family's ride: my ride with the KU ski team:
  11. Michael - Lawrence, KS - 23 - ran 36mph 15 off this summer. I'm a recent college grad doing freelance web and graphic design and photography. I grew up skiing with my family behind our 1999 Sea Ray 180BROB recreational skiing/wakeboarding/kneeboarding. My older sister skied collegiately for Kansas State and I joined as a freshman. 3 event skiing rocked my world (and made me disappointed that I "wasted" my high school years wake boarding) and I've been working to progress since. I'm continuing to go to collegiate tourneys to work on my assistant judge ratings and help coach the Kansas teams.
  12. I just saw this post and I wanted to add my two cents. I was in the tent with Tony helping as he did a million things at once [rather successfully]. The real reason the webcast went down at all was due to equipment failure. When flying to the tourney, the airline mistreated his EXTREMELY expensive equipment. At one point he had a computer ripped open with tape holding pieces in just the right place to work. I hope everybody that got to see the quality webcast appreciated it. He deserves some major thanks.
