  1. These changes make the dramatic difference in the hole shot! The local 2015 has the new transmission with the OJ #709 prop and it feels like a rocket compared to my 2014. I'm not sure how much of the difference is the transmission vs how much is the prop. I will know when the ice is off, as I have picked up the #709 prop.
  2. @GOODESkier I believe that most of the 2015's are using a 1.26:1 transmission whereas most 2014's used a 1.22:1. The prop that came with my 2014 is the OJ Skipro #710, 13.25 x 14.5. According to the AWSA approved towboat list, the other 4 blade prop is the OJ Skipro #709, 13.9 x 14.25. Hope this helps

    New to me boat

I have actually owned both the 206 and a 197. As far as the wakes are concerned, I feel that the 197 was hands down better and as good as any boat I have skied behind. There will be a bit of debate on that statement but mine had a 1:1 transmission and I feel that it's wake was significantly better than any of the TT boats. The 206 wake felt large/firm at -15 and -22, but was awesome at -28 and shorter. For clarification, I have skied both of these boats from 30 mph @-15 through 36 mph @-35. As for the open bow, the 197 is merely a glorified water shovel with anyone in the bow.
  4. I'm not sure that either setup has an advantage over the other besides comfort/feel. I learned with a RTP, then switched to double rubber boots for about 7 years before returning to the RTP. With each switch it probably took me 10 sets or so to get comfortable with the change, and was able to run the same scores with each setup.
  5. After a late start to this season due to poor weather, I managed to add 4 bouys to my tournament pb to 5@35; practice pb up 1 to 2@38. Even better my average jumped from 86 to 92! One tournament left to try to bag my first tournament 35!! Lovin my Mapple 6.0!!
  6. @makeall6, awesome pic, that site looks familiar... ;)
  7. @AB, You have a beautiful site. Flatwater is on the south side of I-80 near 250.
  8. Beautiful conditions!! I'm jealous, although being a northern Ohio skier I chickened out and didn't venture to the lake today. Looks like I missed out!
  9. I know someone in northeast Ohio at 65 y/o has a tournament average of 3 @ -39
  10. I agree with 6 and no continuation, but having @Horton score you a .25 bouy is a sad day!
  11. Just wanted to thank @OB, Waterski Atlanta and all those involved for putting together such a great Tournament!
  12. Currently riding a D3Z7 and have been on D3 skis since 2006. I am looking forward to trying the Mapplr 6.0 in the spring!!
  13. @inboardfix, I am interested in upgrading my '93 SN to the tunable rudder. Will the original rudder port and tiller arm work with this rudder or would I need to replace them as well? Thanks.
  14. At the first wake when my handle broke....
  15. @Drago, IIRC in '99 the standard engine was the 5.8L 351W carbureted. The GT40, Apex and Python EFI engines were optional.
  16. The buckeye bouy tour in OH does really well with handicapped tournament based on bouy count average. Generally speaking if you best your average, that new high score is your average for the next round.
  17. I competed in track thoughout high school and college, i was mostly a sprinter, but dabbled in the pentathalon and decathalon in college. High jump was a weakness for me, being 5'9" a 6' high jump is a lot to ask. I also had a pb of 23' in long jump.
  18. LFF w/ right palm up for skiing, right foot takeoff for high/long jump, kick right foot, massive left eye dominance for shooting.
  19. Wow, 123 during the P90X legs and back is dang impressive! I just finished that workout and wasn't near 123. Awesome job!!
