  1. @jodyseal, does running the ACME 422 on a 200 with 5.7 harm the engine?
  2. Not in the midwest but Les or Richie might meet you part of way. Their phone numbers are listed in the ad below. Great guys you will enjoy dealing with. Pretty boat with about 145 hours when they brought it tour our tourney earlier this month (if I remember correctly). Good luck! http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?topic=Search&category=Promo_Boat&postid=16268
  3. On 5/14/12 I shipped a 69" F1 ski from Madison, MS to Goshen IN via FedEx ground for $26.69. I furnished my own box ( approximately 72" x 6") and the weight was 12 pounds. The Buyer received it two days later on 5/16. Good luck!
  4. The 2011 200 we sold last week had the 422 prop installed on day one and with the exception of tourneys it was never taken off. With the 422 the RPM's at 34 MPH were 3,900. From the first oil change at 25 hours and every 50 hours thereafter we used Amsoil synthetic and the 25,000 mile Amsoil filter and with 275 hours on it as of the sale date it had never burned any oil. As for the fuel we have it delivered without ethanol so except for one out of town tourney it had never had ethanol used in it. We are getting ready to order a 2013 200 and are wondering what percentage of 200's are burning oil if anyone has an idea. Thanks.
  5. I had a 2009 206 Team and really enjoyed it. It tracked better than the 196 but the 196 had a smaller & softer wake. The shoreline guys didn't have a problem with the wake but wanted to ski behind boats they ski behind in tourneys so it rarely got used and I sold it. It was a great boat and about the only thing I had a real problem with was not having the full observer seat; they were available mine just didn't have one.
  6. Glad to know I'm not the only one not familiar with what exactly a "backyard record" is. I'm really looking forward to @ntx explaining this for us. @Texas6, here's the link from the www.usawaterski.org site ( http://www.usawaterski.org/default.asp?Display=1437 ) with the following news: Jaquess Sets Pending World Records Posted by: usawsOn: 06/17/2012 17:21:56In: Water Skiing U.S. water ski athlete Regina Jaquess (Santa Rosa Beach, Fla.) set pending women's world slalom records of 2-1/4 buoys at 41 feet off and 3 buoys at 41 feet off at the Cedar Ridge Early Record, June 16-17, in Canton, Miss. Jaquess scored 2-1/4 buoys at 41 feet off on Saturday in the first round and 3 buoys at 41 feet off on Sunday in the second round. If either one of the records is approved by the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation's Technical Committee, the score will surpass the current world record of 2 buoys at 41 feet off co-held by Jaquess and Canada's Whitney McClintock.
  7. ntx, what is a "backyard record?"
  8. I bought the HO Rear Toe Plate with lace 3 weeks ago and it blew out on the left side yesterday. A 14 year old (about 70 pounds I'm guessing) skied with us yesterday and had the same HO RTP with lace that had blown out on the side as well so I'm sending my back for a refund instead of an exchange. Has anyone owned the Radar adjustable rear toe plate with lace long term without problems?
  9. So sorry about that Garn! I ruptured mine in March of 2010 at 3 ball. It tore in two places; a partial tear at the heel and complete tear at the ankle. Surgery 5 days later; a cast for 4 weeks and a boot for another 8 weeks. I was skiing in 6 months but it took about a year before I could ride my elliptical machine for 20 minutes. You've already gotten the best advice: obey the doctor and don't rush it. Good luck with the surgery!
  10. Thanks for this info rwskier. My 2009 206 with PCM 343 and 422 prop burned about 1.2 gallons per set on average. I've never kept up with it on our 200, also with the 343 and 422, but thought it was pretty close to the 206. At $4 per gallon your numbers indicate we are spending about 48 cents more per set than with the 206; and I can live with that.

    Boat Advice

The late 90’s early 2000’s Nautique SNOB is a great choice with a 15k budget. A good friend of mine has one. Great wake with good storage under the tourney seat since there’s no walk through. Verses the closed bow you get the additional 2 or 3 person capacity for those trips from the boat landing to the sand bar on public water; and the ability to lounge up front while the boat is parked. Good luck!
