  1. @dchristman Thanks - Very interesting thread. I talked to ZO tech and they confirmed it is a firmware issue with the puck due to the GPS week reset. Going to install a new puck and see what happens.
  2. 13 Ski Nautique ZO Rev R When we map the coarse east to west using the puck as the location point and then we turn around and go through the coarse west to east ZO beeps toward the rear of the boat at the gates and turn buoys. If we then turn around and head East to West it beeps when the buoys are at the puck. The direction the coarse was mapped. When checking in rec mode our clock is correct but date is off. Looking at the date it reset when GPS week data went to week 0 so it should be on the correct week. Have 6 to 8 Satellites with Differential. It seems like it should work. We have tried using one puck and switching inputs and that does not seam to fix the problem. At one point it appeared we had it mapped correctly using only one puck came back the next day and was off the same as stated above. Question why does ZO need two pucks? Is one a back up? Any Ideas Thanks
  3. I have been wearing Rex Specs Morpheus III prescription glasses for at least 10 years now with out any problems. +1 on polarized and would recommend a clear pair for cloudy or late day skiing. I have found that tinted glasses in low light seem give a perception of increased speed.
  4. Thanks All for your comments. @Andre this is not the boat in AL It was on Boat Trader for a while.
  5. Hey Ballers I am looking at a 2014 Ski Nautique open bow with a 450Hp 6.0L . Any thoughts on reliability and longevity with this engine version? How is it for slalom 22 off through 35 off? I am assuming it would be a very solid pull. Currently skiing a 5.7 in an 2008 SN 196. Any other thoughts or words of wisdom would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  6. I trailer about 6,000 mile a year. I have had 2 blow outs and most recently one brake caliber locked up. This is on a single axle trailer. I am thinking of going to a tandem axle trailer. I use Goodyear Marathon Radials. Tire pressure was checked the morning before the last blow out. Not a gauge issue, verified against calibrated gauge. What trailers do you all like? Thanks
  7. Can anyone tell if there is much of a difference in the slalom pull and wake between a 200 Nautique 200 with a 409 vs a 343? Is there much of a difference in gas consumption?
  8. Tape to tape is failing. On the Helix I removed the sheet of binding protector. Note I cover just about every square inch of available surface with tape.
  9. Do not have any pictures, skis are down south. The Helix does have raised inserts, I did not tape over them. The Vapor inserts are flush with the ski. Dual lock is adhering to the ski and plate.
  10. Has anyone ever gotten a sub standard lot. of clear 250 dual lock? I have been using dual lock 250 clear for years and never never had an issue with pre release. I recently taped a plate and a Vapor and a Helix. Every time I had a good pop when assembling them but as soon as I would come off one ball I would hear the tape releasing on both skis. I am sure it's not me as I would hop back on my xt and ski with no problem. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
  11. I would like on too. How does one e-mail Horton?

  13. I like the look of the commercial sewing cover and contacted them and was told they do not sell to the public and I had to go through Nautique. My local guy quoted $1400. I Will try Coversports this week Thanks all I appreciate the help
  14. Can anyone recommend a good strapless boat cover for trailering at highway speed for a 2008 SN196? I am Towing from Pa to FL. My old cover left a couple of marks on the boat last from the straps and it is shot. I talked to a SN dealer and the price of strapless was going to be over $1400 dollars. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  15. Trying out a 9960 - Factory settings not working. Over turning both sides. 34 mph. 28 off Any suggestions.
  16. Been skiing at Okeeheelee this winter to stay in shape running 28 and deep into 32 in the wind. Come home no wind and can barely run a 22. Water is 58 degrees. Feel like I am skiing on cement. Any suggestions. Thanks
