  1. My and my family's thoughts and prayers are with you Sir!! Hang in there!!!!!
  2. I can't help with the dilemma much as I own a closed bow 190, but boat on a very large lake, 9,212 acres. Our chop can get 1 foot with a little wind. It feels like my poor boat is going to break apart, but I cannot part with it. lol. A friend used to have a Malibu Sunsetter LXI, like mentioned before, it was a MUCH larger and higher freeboard than my little 190. The 200's I have been in do not seem to be any better at all compared to my 190, despite being MUCH larger.
  3. Mine is offset to the right just a little bit on my 91.
  4. @m_pags Lake Jackson in Sebring. It's nice to know there is another baller in HC! Thank you for the offer! I may take you up on that. Where is Lake Carrie? You can PM me if you wish sir.
  5. I live in Highlands County, FL. One of the worst hit counties in the whole state by Hurricane Irma. Nov through March are normally my prime skiing and boating months. Though, looks like we will not be doing that this year due to the storm. House is mostly fine, some roof damage and water damage but not as bad as some who lost it all. Luckily, Family and boat are fine, but our lake, dock and only access to the lake are GONE! There is not a Singled standing intact dock on the whole 9,200 acre lake and the boat ramp got destroyed as well. Oh and lets not forget that the lake itself is now DISGUSTING! Reddish and tons of trash, wood, screws, nails, aluminum, etc in it. The waves on the Lake recorded 14 feet during our 145mph gust winds.
  6. I know this is a little old and I like the Logo's but I agree with a lot of statements about them being busy. Also, about what @DW said. I believe the draw to the the 3EV of waterskiing is going to be Slalom and Jump. Jump more so than anything now really. On the outside looking in, the jump is the easiest to understand and it has that death defying monarch to it.
  7. @disland I heard it was because of the dangers involved in the event is why they haven't had one in a long time. Maybe that is why it was only Freddy? I would love to see the three go out after it. Freddy, Ryan and Bojan!! I thought it was extremely short airing as well. I found that disappointing.
  8. VT used to have one back in the day... sadly it seems that most schools now do not have a ski team. My guess is money, and rather put it toward football...
  9. Great video! Thank you @MarcusBrown ! Really wish my college had a Ski team. The guy that taught me to ski and who I boat my boat from was a coach at VT.
  10. Again, I agree with @MarcusBrown. The man is incredible. I grew after falling in love with Water Skiing watching MB, Wade Cox and the others at Tournaments. I still wish MB was competing, but as he said, now I think he is doing better things for the sport then ever before! That and @FWinter, I believe these to men have what it takes (with help) to get things back to where they should be!
  11. @MarcusBrown and @FWinter, cannot have ever said it better. We need much more of you guys in our sport to bring idea's to get it into the public again. Thank you so much!!
  12. I for one pretty much agree 100% with MB. I too, understand the reason for the 4 bouy course. If it gets it in places where the public eye can see it, I'm good with that. I have attended the 4 bouy at Disney years ago, and I will say that it was very smart to have it there. I have been to Disney a few times after in recent years, and I look over the lake and then look at the crowd and always think what if there was a course out there with all of these people from all over the world, It would have to spark an interest of at least a few people and make them want to get into it. What got me into skiing was similar as another baller here. I grew up on the Potomac River, and became friends with a ripper and part time coach for VT WS team. I would watch him rip up and down the river behind his new 91 MC PS190, after befriending him he taught me to ski in return for mowing his river lot and helping wash the boat after the weekend. Years later, Thanks to him, I now have that passion and now own that very boat. I still return to our family River lot on the Potomac, and love watching some of the guys rip it up. One has a new LXi and one rips behind a beautiful MC BF200. I may not ever make it to extreme shortline or need to go spend 65K on a new ZO boat and 2K on a new Ski. I am very happy with my 91 PS190 and my 2010 HO CoX SL. I always try to get people to see Water Skiing, be it on a DVD, Online Video or bringing them on the boat, it doesn't matter. I try to get them to see it in my eyes. The fun, the drive, being behind the boat. I for one, didn't mind the Big Dawgs at the US Open this year, but I was surprised that they were paid as much as they were. I still want to thank them, and all the Open skiers for coming and competing at the US Open though and putting on a great show regardless of the purse size. Do wish it was higher for the Pro's though. Also agree about describing the rope length so newbies can understand it. I too have been asked over and over again what 32 off means. I believe it would be beneficial to start saying feet left of the rope along with line off the rope. Danno did a decent job, describing how far the handle was in relation to the bouy, but I think it was still over some peoples head. It was a start though. I end up describing it that way to newbies so they understand difficulty level though. I have thought about 3 event being on the X Games as well. We need a boat manufacture to step up, contact ESPN and the X Games committee, and get some other sponsors. I would think it would do well on there and would be one step of getting it back on cable TV. I miss the days growing up where I could turn on ESPN and watch my childhood water ski hero's.
  13. @Wish I was just to the left of you. In from of Lucine and her family. Here is a shot I took of Will Asher.
  14. My boat is in a locked garage, with a IR camera security system.
  15. Andy was a truly amazing man and individual. I met him years ago, and saw him again a couple years ago, he may not have remembered my name, but he remembered me. A great man on and off the water. I am truly hurt by this news. I don't understand why this happens to the good people I know. You will be missed Andy. God speed and have fun carving up the water in Heaven.
  16. SeaDeck has the worst customer service EVER!! Also, @GMC why the Off Topic on my picture??? Seems on topic to me!
  17. The business end. This is why I love my boat besides her good looks!
  18. My Tug. 91 MasterCraft Prostar 190. Powerslot, CNC 4B. Taken at the last MC Reunion
  19. Got it on my Instagram feed from Nautique Boats! October 22-24. Who of the ballers are going? @Wish?
  20. EFI is nice, but I will tell you, my carbed 351 with a properly tuned Holley 4160 starts every time with a flick of the key. If the boat sits for over a week, I pump it about 4 times and boom, she's purring away. EFI if you live at altitude or up north may be better, for FL where I boat year around, doesn't matter.
  21. @TallSkinnyGuy MC switched to NO wood in 84 production boats. But actually some later built 83's also had no wood. 91-94 MC Prostar 190, as said is regarded as one of the best wakes EVER. The spray can be an issue. In my experience, -35 off can sometimes get some spray, but most often it's beyond that. You can also reduce the spray a bit by getting as much weight as possible out of the back. I already relocated my battery, but I have seen a little difference in spray by backseat vs no backseat and fuel load. I am anal though...
  22. @GMC sure there is. Do like they used to do for the marine industry.... Actually swap engine comments when setting up a engine for marine use. Now, a lot just swap electrical comments and fuel comments and that's it. I have already helped swap lifters and de-activate AFM in trucks and the DoD G8. Also know of a few that the lifters sheet the bed per say with low miles. Also, AFM is a joke. All real world driving of the AFM vs no AFM cars and trucks do NOT see any notable decrease in MPG. Also, while DI can make a more powerful and more efficient system, have you seen a DI engine after 100k miles? Yikes. I have seen VW and BMW DI engines. I'm not sold on the long term use of DI and AFM/DoD etc.
  23. @gregy I have been thinking for years now how to make a MTS like ballast system the newer prostar's use under the bow of my 190.
