  1. New boat with a good hull design. Best deal if seen to get into zero off and still have 30G's in your pocket!
  2. In Houston for one day. Anyone around for a ski ride?
  3. George, text me ur #. I'll call u when I land.
  4. Will be in Atlanta all day Monday. Only have a few days left to decide to keep flex tail. Jon Tate.
  5. Cooper Tate set a new record in West Palm round 1. 4@35. Round 2. 5@35.
  6. After achilles injury I went from powershell that injured me to a Reflex. The Reflex strap will protect your achilles and will release before you even get close to putting a strain on the tendon. I run my Reflex setting at 4.5. Weight 180lbs
  7. I know there has been multiple discussions on this topic, but I went to Best Buy and noticed the Contour and other GoPro like cameras that are smaller with more accessories and cheaper. I then went home and started doing more research to see what else is out there. There are a lot of choices. I use a video tracker and was thinking the Contour or a style like that would be better than a camera that mounts higher. Waterproof a bonus, but don't need it to go 30 feet underwater. Any reviews other than the GoPro? I have read enough about that product.
  8. I noticed when you change you're edge on your on side, you lead the change with your head first. Keep head level as possible. I agree with Horton, stay on handle longer. It might also fix you head movement.
  9. I did 16 weeks of rehab. Can run about a minute slower per mile than I use to. Mtn bike is back to normal. Should I go back for more rehab?
  10. Latest update. 9 months + 2 weeks post-op. When it's not raining or cold I have been on the water. About 10 sets. Ran a couple of 35's yesterday. Calf strength still not 100%. I can raise my heal about 1 inch and hold it there. There is a noticeable difference in muscle mass between the two calfs. I hope the rest of you are progressing well and are back on the water. We can add Kobe Bryant to our club. It will be interesting how his level of play will be when he comes back.
  11. I use tires along the shore line about half covered under water on one side for backwash control. It works good but looks ugly and I have to move them as the water gets lower through the summer. I saw the setup the cable lake in Orlando has. The use floating tires to separate the cable course from the wakeboard area. Does this work well?
  12. On my lake I have tires halfway in the water laying along the bank where I have a backwash problem. It works fine but looks ugly and I have to move them as the water level changes. I saw the setup the cable lake had in Orlando. They had floating tires to seperate the cable ski area from the wakeboard boats. Would this be better than my setup?
  13. I tried the Reflex with white cuff the flexion strap on the shortest setting. There are tree lengths to set the strap. Skied on a Radar yesterday. Felt more normal than the Nano 1. Less drag allowed me to feels as if I was going out the front. Just free skied. Water temp 52 deg. To cold to fall and wait of boat to come back. I just ordered a reflex on a G10 plate. The G10 is suppose to move better as the ski flexes.
  14. Almost 9 months post-op. Skied today for the first time today. Didn't realize how much pressure is put on the front foot when you get up. Free skied first set. Out of skiing shape! Second round, ran 2 buoys. Tried my new Nano 1. VERY slow ski! With my front foot the injured, it was hard to keep that ski in front of me. Off side turn was not stable because it is alot of front foot pressure. Was hoping for better, but still earlyin the year. I used a Reflex binding with a flexion strap. Highly recommend it. One time getting up, the boat got me going forward. With my limited calf strength I am not able to put enough pressure on my front foot to keep me from going out the front. The strap tightened and released before I felt any stretching of my tendon. I feel sure that I am going to release before I injured myself again.
  15. Going to be in Miami this weekend and was hoping I could get a pull from one of you ballers? Jon Tate. 901-218-1210
  16. Has anyone got there ands on the new Carbon Reflex boot? Was going to order one hoping it is stiffer.
  17. Can a prop shop change pitch to make a 1468 prop into a 654 prop?
  18. Today I can put a max of 90 lbs on the scale. Been riding my bike 20 miles 2/3 days a week. Still limp. I can walk normal for a short period, tendon gets sore so I go back to the Memphis strut. It's funny how we discuss or injury like a new born. We all know exactly how long since surgery. My 4 month post op is Wednesday. My goal is to be able to get my heal off ground at 6 months mark.
  19. I think they make a sleeping boot for some of the blogs I read. I slept in my boot one night, then I used a long ace bandage to somewhat stabilize my foot. Ambien (sleeping pill) 5 mg and you will never know anything is on your foot!
