Anyone skiing on a gravel pit that is currently being mined? I’m looking for how to get MSHA (mining safety and health administration) to be ok with it. Lake is on a current permit but not being mined. TIA

Does anyone know where sure path measures the deviation? Is it just at the buoys or is it (vicinity) where the skier edge changes or a combination? Thanks in advance!

Looking for a document that explains tuning with binding moves. Not just the basic forward and back but more the moving toe vs heel vs whole boot side to side.

Was there a change in water temp?

I was at the tournament and saw the measurements on the ropes. I also was a boat judge for many skiers and I can say that the boat paths were good while I was in the boat. Now granted I was 3 skiers after Greg so I wasn’t in the boat for him but I had the same driver and rope and I ran what I’ve been running in practice. That being said I think the Autore’s deserve much more respect than being given here. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect and within the rules and they have done more for this sport than 90% of the people in the world. So Congrats to Greg Sund for a terrific day, obviously tons of hard work. I hope he runs it at the next Big Dawg....I’m sure the apologies will pour in then.

Or us -38 skiers can keep training like the guys ahead of us! I've been trying to win a national title since 1988....I don't want one "given" to me. Seems like it wouldn't be a total let down.....I also am not a fan or participation trophys either.

What is the purpose of this rule? I believe it is an attempt "to grow the sport" but once again AWSA focuses on the few....It all started with the Olympics back in the 1980s! News flash we are never getting in! The focus needs to be on how to get more of the level 3-7 people to tournaments....I remember when I was a kid there was a novice and class C in each division....where did this go? Also when did getting your name on some list somewhere become award for skiing a tournament? Give the skiers a reason to go to a tournament again!!! In my opinion this rule looks like the rules committee can't win so they are kicking the competition out, I'm not saying this is the reason but it is the perception. Remember a vast majority of these elite skiers (MM, MW) are just normal working people who may just work (at skiing) harder and/or sacrifice more than their competition.

Do you currently have a wing in the fin and if so what angle? You asked if 5 degrees would make a difference....if you have less than that it will hinder the skis performance by creating tail lift...if you are asking if a 5 degree change would make a difference YES is the answer. 1 degree moves is how to go. Usually 7-9 degrees is where you will be if you run the wing.
