  1. I use the inside out 41 Tail gloves now but have sized down to med from the red large. Found the same problem with the yellow ones, too big
  2. So as we approach a new season, how many skiers are still on a whisper fin? Im not seeing many for sale any longer on SIA. So makes me think most are fairly happy with them. Has anyone done a comparison WF to CG ?
  3. We just bought a skidoc orbit too. Does anyone else find the selfie mode weird cause its a mirror image of yourself- my on side just became my offside. Like mentioned above use my iPhone XR with wakeye and it shook like crazy, Then I used y old iPhone 6 with the wakeye app, turned off the stabilization feature and whala! Quality video
  4. 2 private tournament lakes,15 mins to one 45mins to another
  5. It would be interesting to hear anyone else's feedback on moving to the single puck. We have an older '07 SN 196 dual puck, running the original ZO software. (version Q) Its a great pull, but over the past 2 yrs not only mine but our other club skiers scores are down from previous yrs. Can't quite put a finger on it, but trying to get dialed in this yr. Obviously newer boats will tow different and wakes have changed, but wondering with a short set up, if the newer puck and software would engage sooner and improve our scores behind the newer boats. Someone was mentioning entry gate speed.
  6. Still in nice shape, Negotiable. http://www.ski-it-again.com/php/skiitagain.php?endless=summer&topic=Search&category=Slalom&postid=50273
  7. thank you @SkiJay ! That's what I wanted to know
  8. @SkiJay , I was thinking along the lines of behavioral changes, to either of those 3 models. I guess ARC/EVO are pretty similar ski types, but NRG has more aggressive tunnel. So, does the fin change tip sensitivity or stability in either of those?
  9. @SkiJay Did the fin have any other specific changes to a D3 Arc, EVO or NRG other than acceleration and easier turns?
  10. I bought it at the end of last season. The release mechanism is essentially the same except for stainless now on the release and the set screws are slightly different. The boot is more aerodynamic and the plate locks the heel down better then the 2.0 IMO. Worth the upgrade from the 1.0 white/cuff if you needing to, otherwise not vastly improved from 2.0. The boot itself looks better, and this season Reflex is suppose to give you choices in boot color and release mechanism color
  11. Had the exact same problem on our club '07 196. We were at 830hrs. We changed both helm and cable for under $400. Fixed everything!
  12. Powershells are very comfortable. After 10 yrs just made a switch to reflex supershell 3.0 and they are almost identical in feel of the foot inside the boot. I use intuition liners in both cases. I did choose to go with a R-style rear and its allowing me to get more up on the front of the ski with releasing my heel more then the powershells did. I do think reflex has done a lot of research on its release mechanism and is consistent.
  13. Ballers, I'm asking for some clarification, advice etc. Our club boat is an '07 SN 196. It actually has PP and ZO as options. We only use the ZO setting. Good strong solid boat, but when we go to tournaments, the pull feels different. Some other skiers recommended updating our ZO system to the single puck. But what's going to improve? Is the pull going to be harder or softer? Some clarification, and is it worth it? $400, I'm told. Really I think we just want some clarification as to how the single puck affects the pull behind the boat.
  14. Love my power shells, Been in them for 8 yrs, and just replaced them, but would like to lose the tape. If anyone has a method to create the block in the back to fit the release of the reflex, can you share or PM me.
  15. all the lakes in sac are wonderful sites and all east of I5, the famous Bell Aqua Lakes 1,2&3 are usually visible as well depending on the approach. from the south you could have seen Shortline Lake as well
  16. lakeside ranch is a beautiful ski lake in Patterson, Ca
  17. I purchased an 07 196 SN with my club back in Feb this yr. 500 hrs for $24k It was a killer deal. Boat skis great and the ZO is a must have for tournament use. This boat will likely meet your needs or many yrs. if both have some wiggle room, boat 2 's trailer is worth more if considering resale. Good luck
  18. 've been told slight change in bevels and width of tail, making some off side turns better for certain skier types. I know of an H1 available with green quest graphics, skied on less then year, 67' really nice. Was bought before H1 graphics were finalized. PM me for info. / price
  19. have you tried running the inter loc not only down the sides of the plate/ski , but cross ways under the boots. I was always told multi directional is best?
  20. factory recommendations, set it and forget it. Though... I do have to admit at times, no wing has felt pretty good when I'm in a slump
  21. you will want to look at the HO S2 , very similar ski to the carbon V with step bottoms
  22. love my new Helix. coming off a nano XT I feel the Helix turns better for me and a faster ski in general from ball to wake, while holding angle. I Left the fin at stock ( factory setting) and bindings just slightly ahead of 29.5, but depends on how you measure, Tape parallel to ski or tape along the side of the ski to tail. Also I have powershells, so depends how you set up your rear heel. Great ski overall, Well done D3 . It feels like a Fusion but better.
