  1. Boat is a carbed 350 with 1:1 transmission. Mainly used for skiing and occasionally foot runs off the boom. Hoping to gain some holeshot without sacrificing to much top end.
  2. I have a 1995 Malibu Sunsetter lx. I know not the best ski wake option, but the boat fits our family needs perfectly. Looking to upgrade from the stock prop to either the Acme 515 or 525. From my findings there is not a whole lot of difference between the two. I know the 525 is considered high altitude, we live at 3,600ft and frequent a lake at 4,500, but the guy at Acme said I would only see about 150 rpm difference between the two props. My initial thought is to get the 525 for our elevation. But have found many people saying that the 515 softened their wake. Will the 525 help with this as well? Hoping since these are fairly old props you guys have had some experience with both and can give me some insight.

  4. Friday evening was a bit cloudy, but the weekend was great!
  5. The old Stars and Stripes get me. But I do like my throw back combo and get lots of compliments at the lake.
  6. A product called vlp vinyl repair has worked amazingly well for me. Someone kindly cut my drivers seat with a very sharp knife while camping one year. Asked an upholstery shop what they recommended and went with it. Held up for 5 years with two kids climbing all over the boat and was still in great shape when I sold it.
  7. Anyone skied one? Are there any differences between the 210 and a direct drive B-52 of the late '90's? They appear to be the same hull with different graphics/options, but not 100% sure. I have heard the the MB 190 ski pretty well but have not heard anything about the 210 and can't find to much info on them. These are the two boats in question: LINK 1 LINK 2
  8. Stinks that they are really trying to shut this project down. I don't know where they got the idea that it is a ski lake though. ;)
  9. Delivered some containers for our company out there the other day and noticed a beautiful ski lake! Just wondering if anyone has any info on it or knows anything about it? It is fairly new, maybe 1-2 years old, as it was not there the last time I was out that direction. Would be great if I could get in touch with someone involved with it.
  10. The step over bow just won't cut it with the wife, and I don't care for it either. Faded gel is somewhat of a concern for me too on any boat. But the '89 I sold was badly faded and I restored it by going thru the wet sanding process and had great success. Walk thru open bow, better than average ski wake, and under 23' on the trailer are our biggest factors.
  11. @6balls‌ those are my exact thoughts. Looking to spend no more than 13-14k, but not in a huge hurry to buy. I believe more boats are going to hit the market as the weather gets better. This one just so happens to meet almost all of my requirements and the wife's too. I just wanted to get a feel for the price from other who have bought and sold boats before.
  12. @rq0013‌ where are you located? I feel this boat has a fairly good asking price based on others like it out here west. Plus the tower, which is a bonus to me, and the dual axle trailer with folding tongue. If the boat is as nice as it appears, my initial thought was $10.5k would be a pretty good deal. Other Echelon lx's around here are asking $13k without the tower and folding tongue options. I need the folding tongue and removable platform in order to get it in the garage.
  13. Our heaviest footer is about 190 and doesn't long line. The two of us that long line , as of now, are about 170. The specs from themalibucrew site says the lx weighs 2650 plus the tower, so another 100lbs or so. Probably still faster than my buddies 205 so that is a bonus. Thanks for the info and anymore would be greatly appreciated. Really hoping the pictures are a good representation of the boat.
  14. @bigtallweed what kind of top end speed do you get? We do some footing and run at between 4-5 thousand feet elevation.
  15. @rodltg2‌ what do you think it is worth? 10- 10.5?
