  1. I went to doc Thursday. Post Op 8 weeks. He said ROM and swelling was good and no more PT was needed. I had him give me another two weeks. I think the doctors goal is to get two shoes on and don't hurt the tendon. My goal is to be 100% as soon as possible. I walk with a limp still. Rode my bike 5 miles. Very easy. My goal is to be able to do a calf raise. Not even close yet. @MikeT. Start doing circles, point toe bring toe back to you as often as you can. I never went to a single crutch.
  2. Drove all three in a tourney today. 200 and taxi steered the best. MC pulled to hard to the right. There were PB's behind all the boats today. My PB is behind MC. If I could choose driver or boat in a tourney, I would pick the driver and have no choice of the boat.
  3. Last time I skied without a wing was on my Connelly Super Hook.
  4. Have done nothing to the wing or fin. Tried moving binding back and offside would not turn. Moved one hole forward of stock, it helped fix the turn. I'll try no wing. Got nothing to lose.
  5. Two sets on my Nano 1 with the factory setting. It feels slower from side to side compared to the twist. I run the same buoy count on both skies but I have to work twice as hard to get the same thing on the Nano 1. I was hoping the magic that would get me out the gates at 38. Can't see it on this ski unless some changes. It's a different animal so I'm not sure where to start. Any ideas?
  6. Tate and Favret did not ski on the new Nano1 because they were not offered the opportunity. Ben has won the BD 2 or 3 times. Final 4 I think every time. Kyle was last year winner. Surprised Goode would not make sure those two skier had the latest and best equipment.
  7. Night tourney was great! Seeing the course all lit up was exciting. Had a party feel. I can't imagine skiing at night with cameras flashing in your eyes! Hard to practice that.
  8. This year only 7 of the 2011 top 16 are skiing today. 2 of them made it thu the first round. The top 2 didn't make it in! What makes the Bigdawg exciting is there is no way to predict the top 16. Every 1/4 ball counts. Every skier in the head to head have a good chance of winning. Kyle Tate was a 10th seed and won last year. Good luck.
  9. Kyle Tate practiced at Nationals on the new 2013 Radar Strada. Ran a 28, 32, 35, 39. Though it was a 38 it looked so easy, I was told it was 39. Tried it last week and it was going to the Big Dawg with him. He was not giving it back. Must be good to change sticks a week before big event.
  10. Saw Kyle Tate run a sweet 39 on a Orange bottom ski during a practice round today.
  11. I like the level system. It allows us skiers dictate the cut off point, not a committee giving us a score.
  12. I have skied with guys that refuse to video. They need it because there perception is not reality! If you you want to get better sometimes you need to swallow your pride and take a look at yourself. I have skied a pass and could not wait to see it on video. Once I see it it didn't look as good as what it thought, but it made me better.
  13. If having a choice is important, than make a choice and stick with it! Flipping from elite to a age division is where it looks like there is a sandbagging issue. Unless you are in a slump or hurt, there is no reason to ski down. I have read that there is a scheduling issue for some that determines which event they ski for nationals. They all ski on Saturday except M5. How is that a conflict? Seems ironic that there is not a conflict of schedule with the Big Dawg. Was that planned? If you deserve the right to choose, would you ski Big Dawg or Nationals?
  14. One would think that results at reg/nat. MM scores would be higher than M3/M4. I think out of respect for yourself, the intent of the division and the sport you would know which division to compete in. How is it your a MM one day and a M3/4 the next. What determines that decision?
  15. I has a driver tell me after the round was over he thinks he was the reason I missed my 35. A little late!
  16. The top 34 mph slalom skiers are not 3 event skiers. Why is there even a MM division? If I thought I I was the best at 34 skier, I would want to beat any 34 skier. Not just my age group.
  17. Why would a big dawg top 16 skier ski M3/M4/M5. If you have won money you are not an amateur. I don't know what satisfaction you would get winning a regional/nationals. There is a division for elite skiers called MASTER MEN. When you take the podium, you should leave your head hanging down after recieving your medal because of shame or embarrassment. The should be a rule change that If you ski as a MM in any event, you are declaring yourself a MM for that year. No back and forth in divisions. What's more important, filling the big dawg slots or keeping the integrity of the sport?
  18. That's why Regional/National driving should be performance based. Not a vote.
  19. Of course they are going to put a good driver behind the wheel for MM.
  20. I have a friend log every set so he could compare to other years how he was skiing. I thought that was a bad way to know if you are skiing good. Does anyone else log how may times they run a rope length?
  21. I watched the interview with Regina. It was the traditional black/Orange. Chad Scott's and jay leach was nano graphics.
  22. It's hard to do, but the way to weed out bad drivers is don't let the drive a tourney. No credits no rating.
  23. It's hard to tell someone that there skills are not good enough. That's why there should be a ranking for drivers. As a skier, I can judge how good I am by looking at my ranking. I don't need anyone to tell me. If a senior driver never gets a chance to pull short line there are enough around to get the opportunity.
