  1. I have had Radar bindings since they were first available. Presently on my 3rd set. The release method is all about the laces. DO NOT LACE THEM UP TIGHT. Especially the upper lace. Snug the lowers and barely snug the uppers. I check the tightness by standing on my ski on the boat platform in the bindings, by lifting my heel up. I make sure that I can lift my heels up approx half way out of the binding with a fair bit of resistance. Loser the safer.
  2. My hard-shell Syndicate binding foot-base disintegrated after just one season. HO has redesigned it and very recently sent me all new including heel, foot-base and toe bar without issue. Just had to sent them a few pics.
  3. Those of you that jumped on ghutch are those ruining this sport that is having no problems dying on its own. The man is simply looking for a pull and make contacts. Shame on you uppity trust fund spoiled buttheads that think everyone has money dripping from their back pockets. All travelers are welcome to ski at our ski site free. We enjoy hosting guests and making contacts. ScottScott, right on!
  4. Talked recently to a guy that is a long time swimmer. He was unable to swim due to pain caused by a torn cuff. He opted for stem cell injection vs surgery. He is presently swimming at 100% with no pain.
  5. I have trouble with my ski coming all the way around on my on-side. Things got a little better when I moved my fin forward.
  6. It appears that life vests were not necessary in the 50s.
  7. Orlando76, Thank you very much for your help!! Trimble Park has a apealing location. Will take a closer look at it when I'm in town. Let me know if you want to hook up for a ski ride.
  8. I had hip flexer pain that I could not fix with stretching. The pain ran from my groan down the inside of my quad. Turned out to be "Sports Hernia".
  9. Hey Ya'll, I am still researching the Mt. Dora / Travares areas for permanent relocation, waterskiers and slalom courses. Will be in Mt. Dora Sept. 14th - 23rd. Please reply back or text me (615) 496-4706 with any leads on lake houses < $400,000 and/or a chance for a ski ride. fyi: I have a realtor that I am loyal to.
  10. Let's never forget Andy for the great skier and more importanly, what a great person he was. I was lucky enough to have a few lessons and conversaions with him. Sometimes funny, always focused. Never forget.
  11. Thinking about relocating to the Mt. Dora area. Can anybody give me some info about Lake Saunders, e.g. ski course, shallow, level consistency, restrictions, water quality, Nessie?? Thanks...
  12. When I first started skiing with my new Syndicate hard-shell, the toe would come half-way out of the toe restraint bar when I would take a spill. As instructed by somebody at HO( ???), I moved the heel release steel bracing to the forward hole...there are only 2 holes for adjustment. I have not had any issues since.
  13. I have committed to a realtor that understands my interests and is confident that he will be able to find me what I am looking for within my budget...will take a little time. Please tell me about the problems with Eudora Dr, Lake Saunders area and the numbered blocks.
  14. Consider that; If resurfacing is performed and doesn't work well, full replacement is still a option. However, once full replacement is performed, you are stuck with it.
  15. I replaced my fiberglass platform with teak on my 2008 Natique for $350 because the failed SeaDeck was going to cost me $450 to replace. Fortunately Teak Work is located close to me. So, shipping was not a issue. Teak World used to supply every platform for Correct Craft, Master Craft, Sea Ray and more. http://teakworldenterprises.samsbiz.com/
  16. Presently live near Nashville, TN. Lakefront property would be ideal. However, across the street with easy dock and ramp access also works. Not wanting big lake. The big chain doesn't excite me. Need lot size big enough so to have a large shop. Not rich. Not poor. Beauclaire probably out of my budget. Lake Joanna and Ola appear to be good fit. The boat in profile pic is running. I built it. Other water related interests include old wood boats and vintage outboard engines. All suggestions welcomed!
  17. Thinking about relocating to the Mt. Dora area. So, doing my research as to what lake would support my water related interests. One being, abusing my body in a slalom course.
  18. Hey, I'm a waterskier that lives in Nashville, TN. Will be working a short term job (6 weeks - 2/25/14 thru 4/5/14) in Texas City, TX. I'm hoping to rent a room at the lake site during my short stay and get some sets after work. Can you help me out??
  19. I have found that one day clinics with 20 other skiers does not result in good quaility coaching. To me, good quality coaching involves a number of sets with the same coach. Best is repeating days so the coach can fully understand thier student and instruct accordingly. My two favorites are Seth Stisher and Chet Raley.
  20. sad to say, but yea, wacky fits. Happy B-Day Jody. Thanks Horton.
  21. Why does my email inbox fill up with every comment made on the forum? There is not a single box checked in my forum preferences.
  22. Marc Shaw has constructed a pretty cool speadsheet that calculates present skier placement. Go to marcshaw.net, read the very first sentence on his home page and click on Big Dawg Scores.
