  1. I bought this book last year. Filippos is a gentleman and his personal touch to customer service is first class. The photographs are beautiful and its well written however not what I expected, which was a detailed manual full of tips and instruction to make me a better skier. I know all the theory but as a weak 15 off skier it didnt help me much. As stated above its a lovely item but definately a " coffee book " in my opinion and not the reference book I needed at this stage. Not to discourage anyone from buying but if you can borrow a copy for a quick look it may provide all you need to know or already did. Just my honest opinion given price and content Good luck to Filippos and other vendors who are selling to the right market.
  2. “The main goal here is preventing your head from going through the bridle” 18” ski rope and 5 mins . No cost. Not used behind boat yet but tested the securing knots and rope” bar “ by hanging my winter weight of 200 lbs. on all parts of bridle. Knots naturally tighten when pull is applied.
  3. I recently contacted D3 via the contact line on their site about a couple of matters re my old Quest 45,including a blemish on the " clear top coat ". Quoted my serial number and attached photos. Received a reply within hours from TW that gave full ski production details which answered one question and an explanation from another of their tech guys (sorry cant recall his name ) explaining that D3 do not use a resign top coat, rather a plastic top layer, Both issues addressed very promptly and advice given to successfully address the second issue. Great customer service D3.
  4. @Horton so if you’re undressing the skeleton, can I claim his BOS T shirt?
  5. @Horton hey John who won the prized beanie ? December 4 “ Is this the best you guys got? If so I will read all this and find a winner” Last input December 5. Weathers getting cold here and wondering: Should I enter the competition? Is Horton a slow reader? Is he still deciding who should win? Has he sold the beanie? Is it wrapped and under his tree for someone? ?
  6. @FOB69 also assuming you are measuring the same boot as me ie a Reflex White Cuff.
  7. Penultimate.Very much doubt that the ski inserts are an issue or if +/- 0.1”would be noticeable. That’s assuming we both have calibrated measures and are both measuring correctly. I wouldn’t worry about it. Perhaps someone with more knowledge will advise you otherwise .There are many people on the forum with much more expertise and skill than me who have already offered effective solutions . Easy option for you to get it exactly where you want it mounted may be as suggested, described and photographed by @Deanoski above. If you cannot get it measured exactly using holes you could “slot the rear holes”.
  8. @FOB69 Original post ( 2 years ago ) did refer to a 69” ski . I’m on 67” now
  9. @FOB69 . Confirmed 67” ski . 30 1/2 inches from back of boot ( below heel block ) to tail
  10. Just double checked . Front boot is mounted at 30.5 “ stock setting which is second hole back as in photo
  11. @FOB69 My Senate is a 2018 but assume holes will be in the same position on 2019. Matt Rini helped me out with this problem. I have it set at stock position on ski. This uses the 2nd hole. No need to remove/ re position any part of the binding mechanisms , arms or blocks. Simply use a smaller screw head and washer if required ( I used the Reflex screws with the pretty washers) . I previously had it placed forward on the first hole in which case I had to use a flat washer to clear the block. To mount binding , first insert the two rearmost screws into the plate off the ski and drop them their full length so that the heads are flat on the plate. Then offer the plate up to the ski and lightly tighten the rear screws up until the plate meets the top of the ski. Insert the middle and front screws then tighten all 6.
  12. Various sizes available. Ball on this may be a little small in diameter but may work if buoy hole is tapered or washer used. This length expands to 18” max when taught
  13. @Chef23 , Mark can you please clarify for me (still skiing at 15 off after many years) ,what 'angle ' are you referring to when you say " you never get enough angle "? Are you referring to the roll angle of the ski in relation to the surface of the water ie ( body lean angle) or yaw angle in relation to the skis path from buoy to buoy ie( direction of travel angle )?
  14. @Stevie Boy search on this years Moomba Masters videos. Footage of sponsorsed boats ( De Walt I think ) getting wrapped in their yellow livery for the event
  15. telko1.Same ski and same issue. Size 11 US, wide foot. Radar RTP was far too narrow on XL size, HO XL was perfect size foot fit but hole pattern on plate was slightly out. Solution.. Radar plate ( from damaged ARTP) with Wileys RTP rubbers XL . Wileys RTP (complete) has universal mounting holes that should fit Radar inserts I believe.
