  1. So never gave it much thought in my younger years, but now that I am more than 5 decades old , what "weight" should I be using for my ski size. My vest does hold a little water (O'neill Revenge Comp) , shorts are always surf shorts usually quiksilvers and they shed water well. Just wondering if I should be going with my true weight or weight with gear ? Oh and my ski is an A2 Syndicate 65.5. Weight without gear is 165 in ski season.
  2. Always was a big supporter of Oneill boardies UNTIL I made the switch to Quiksilver Highlines , retain less water (hydrophobic) and they have a great fit , tighter on thighs.
  3. @RideTheWood I may be intererested in that ski for 200 shipped email me @ twglydon@gov.pe.ca , please include pic of top sheet and bindings. TIA.
  4. @tru-jack if they did not sell can you let me know how much ? Thanks .
  5. @GaryWilkinson none that will not impede his ability to ski , but he will do so without pain :D
  6. Cannot see you going wrong with either ... it is my understanding the Senate is now full carbon so your getting the same material in either . The 2018 Senate is a great looking ski IMO (not that looks get buoy count) Good luck ! Let us know how you chose.
  7. @andjules is your S2 still available , thanks.
  8. WTB sz 9 HO Apex binding (front and rear lff). Located in prince edward island.
  9. @jayski what funding is available for grassroots to get a club/course setup , thank you for the introduction. I used to have a contact on the WSWC but she has since moved on before we could start up. Repping P.E.I. proudly , big fish , small pond!
  10. Wow after reading the comments glad I did not buy that gently used Elite and went with my A2 instead ... can someone elaborate ? I skied Kidder and KD for years ... perhaps a platinum is in my future .
  11. 360 cdn to spend , what do you have ?
  12. Althought not me selling it I did stumble across this neat old hydrodyne !
  13. @Horton for us a low 2 new skiers this summer, BUT they did not come from where2waterski.com , that being said I do not think it matters . I will continue to offer my experience to ANYONE that asks, #passthehandle .
  14. @DangerBoy my girlfriend rips on my old KD AFTER dropping a drop ski (just happens to be a celebrity) ... she struggles with two foot deeps and we have been looking for a solution , was thinking of getting a Connelly Mid sx or like you stated Jobe hemi . @savaiusini just saw the hovercraft on IG the other day , perhaps worthy of looking into BUT she really is adept at longline freeskis with nice symetrical turns with tight line ... she just gets frustrated on the deep starts . Perhaps after 40 plus years on slalom I am not teaching her right , she did however get out on the slalom with the barefoot boom attached.
  15. @Chef23 amen to last sentence , wish I had done this!
  16. @ALPJr one of the NSWSA members ski's for University Of Louisiana Lafayette , Brody Newton.
  17. @DangerBoy you are unreal at finding the deals ... I can't pull the trigger on the V-type but I DO need new bindings my exo's are starting to come apart. May I ask where you found the talons ... and you say the hole pattern matched right up ? I will be mounting them on a Syndicate A2.
  18. @DangerBoy you want to get into "finlore" pickup a copy of @SkiJay 's The Fin Whisperer !
  19. @Tom351 you are 1) going to cost me a lot of money to upgrade from my hero 3 plus and 2) I ski LFF with "wrong" grip I have never been able to make the switch ... my season 2.5 months is far too short.
  20. @Hsheffield private message me I am in Prince Edward Island but a fellow Islander is in N.S. in the Halifax area and has a Mastercraft and I believe a course . I can forward your information to him.
  21. @btb24 you are experience spray leg ... it will go away as the calf will develope an almost "callous" feel to it. @DangerBoy I was too late to the game on this and the 67's are now sold out. Guess it's another season on my A2. Not like that is a bad thing.
  22. In a particular order 1)1983 J-Craft ... @andjules first boat I skied behind . 2) 1988 Ski Brendella ... Dees Ski school first boat I was in a course with and learned how poor of a skier I really was 3) 1989 Supra ts6m ... we still ski behind this boat regularly 4)2010 Ski Nautique 200 ... loved this boat , style points because it was driven by Scot Ellis in the course when I was vacationing in Fla. 5) @Horton the new MINT looking stormtrooper MC ... that white is HOT!
  23. @Mickski please let us know how it goes ...
  24. @Jmoski I have to go with @Than_Bogan upon watching the video ... Its been 30 years since my first two foot in deeps but I do know even though things are now "automatic" if I get a "bad" pull and feel I am dragging I actually press down more on my feet and rock forward to stand up quicker before I can fall off to the side . @Jchernyak press down with both feet once your hips are clear of the water (which in this video they are). Good luck.
