  1. Wiley's has a one piece neoprene overly that fits Animals that works very well. It does not have laces but once you install it and adjust the length of the overlay to suite your needs it will last forever. I generally only got a year or so of use out of the HO overlay before it started to split. I have not had to change the Wiley's one piece version yet.
  2. As the water has started to cool off, I have noticed that my skiing has improved. In particular, on my off side turn, the ski flows smoothly through the apex and under the rope with a nice even pick up of the load from the rope. Earlier in the season, I was getting some stalling of the ski and sometimes a pretty good hit (slack) at the end of the turn. I thought it was just my lack of talent (probably is mostly) but last spring, I seem to remember that in the turns were on average smoother, much like they are now. I think I have a good fin setting for cooler water. My question is, what fin settings should I change next summer when the water starts to warm up again? On another note, my fin creeps to a longer length with each set. Over a course of maybe six sets, the fin will get as much as .010 - .015 longer. The clamp is as tight as it will go but the problem persists. Anyone else see this this issue?
  3. I am in the market for an S2. What changes did HO make on the S2 from 2012 to 2013?
  4. So, what do you folks recommend for a late 50's 34 mph skier, 28 through 32 off looking to replace his monza? S2, A3, or this CoX SL?
  5. Is there any known differences between a 2013 and 2014 S2?
  6. I ski no faster than 34, that's for sure!
  7. I'm currently on a Monza and I think it's time for a new ski in the spring. My chief complaint with the Monza (other than it's getting old) is that it is so unforgiving on the off side turn. I have a tendency to get on the front of the ski on the off side making the ski stall out at the end of the turn. If I am nice and early (not often) it turns smoothly and quickly but any little bit of scrambling will result in being pitched out the front or bent over at the least. In order to tone it down on the offside, I run the fin consideably shorter than stock to the point the on side is somewhat late to initiate the turn. If I really try to accentuate the counter rotation on the off side, the tail will often blow out. I'm looking for suggestions as to what ski to try next. How would the A3 and S2 compare to the old Monza? I would like a ski that takes my much less than perfect body position in stride and I don't need extreme shortline performance as I am a 58 year old 22 - 32 off skier. Thanks in advance for your advice.
