  1. @ral again depends on what you want. If it is all about easy some would argue to bring back perfect pass. Nothing in this sport is easy. That reminds me of a old joke. If it was easy we would call it wakeboarding. Hope I don't get band
  2. The only thing I do know is that there is a 55% increase between the cost of the 09 nautique we bought and the price of the 14 nautique that was quoted. That is a awful lot in five years. @shaneh is right. If we keep buying them. They will keep selling. Pretty simple supply and demand. Every time I think they can't push it any higher they do and we keep buying. We are the problem. Not the manufacturer
  3. @ozski it depends on what you are looking for in your skiing. No reason that on a recreational level that you need any speed control. Believe it or not people have run 38 off with NO speed control. If you don't ski tournaments you can get by with any system. At that level you are skiing for fun. If you are a serious tournament skier it will help to train with what you will get there. Ski and have fun with whatever you have available to you.
  4. @I5boi That is a long time Master Craft Promo owner. I know he had a 2012 promo for sale also. My guess is that he is just trying to sell one of the two boats he has. I have purchased a boat from him in the past and had good luck with it. I think his 2012 is also listed on ski it again at about 42,000. He sells his boat at a good price.
  5. @Kelvin THANK YOU. It just does not have to be this hard. It not like millions of dollars are on the line. Again, REALLY automated driving!!!!! WT.
  6. Enough all ready. There are WAY to many restrictions to tournaments. Everything from which year boat can be used, to video gate review. For what? If this was a sport that had a bigger incentive (money) and could support more than a few of its top skiers in a fashion that was better than what a high school drop out could earn, then I would say maybe. Right now, it is a amature sport where even the top skiers struggle to make a decent wage. Ski hard, have fun and lets leave all the costly crap behind. It just does not add to the enjoyment of the sport. Just my 2 cents.
  7. @skiray most parts of the country now have a abundance of private lake options. If you were at Dallas boat show, you were within one hour of at least ten private sites.
  8. The mastercraft dealer in Dallas has no desire to sell three event boats. His quote to me was. "If I ever sell another waterski boat again it will be too soon" . we no longer have a promo in the north Texas area. I have discussed this with Arron on at least two occasion. All he wants to sell is wake board boats. Last time I was in the market he would not even give me a price. When I heard he had a pro star I was shocked. It does not surprise me that he is asking over list price for the boat.
  9. Keep in mind that this is only at class c. Regional and national better make the gate
  10. Les & Cindy Todd = Joy Todd Jay and Ann Bennett = Danyelle Bennett
  11. @Jody_Seal Hopefully your suggestion about the trick ski practice will be the rebirth of that event. Picture a bunch of M3/M5 former slalom geeks with trick skis. They may even get to the point that they like Eric. LOL

  13. @bill22 I agree with @horton. If you take the money you will spend on hardshells, and get some quality coaching you will see a bigger increase in bouy count.

    Sacrilege!

77 or newer. Maybe as late as 81 or 82. I think the 76 still had the tapered sides to the back. The color makes me think early 80. When did they change to the smaller motor box design?
  15. @wish Search for a 1980 Master Craft LTD (limited edtion) full metal flake. One of the best looking boats on a sunny day.null
  16. @DefectiveDave You may have a hard time finding the ski and binding combo you want at ski-it again. I would suggest buy them seperate. I would be VERY carefull with any bungie type binding. Unless you are into 32 off at max speed, I would stay with a more tradtional binding like the Wylie's. I have seen too many skiers that are on equipment that is not suitable for the level or style of skier. Keep in mind, that there are huge levels of skiers here, and what works for a guy at -35 off who never gets his shoulders in front of his hips, may not be the best set-up for a -15 off guy wko goes out the front at least once in every set. If that's the case, the bindings are not the problem. Guess what? It is most likely also not the ski. Be realistic in your skill level and buy based on that. I for sure am not putting my just turned 16 year old driver into a new corvette. Her skills do not match the car. Same goes with skiing. Good luck and have fun.
  17. @Jody_Seal what they have on e-bay, would allow you to take a existing ski and scan it (measure) and produce a 3D CAD model viewable with a CAD software application. It will not give you something you can hold. The CAD model would allow you to make changes to the ski and reproduce with a 3d printer. There are limitaions to size of the part that can be produced. Most of the mid range priced units are limited to 12 inch x 12 inch x 18 inch work area. There are limitations in the type of material that can be used to reproduce the ski. A good application for this type of 3D printer would have been the "micro binding adjuster" You can create a CAD model in a application like solidwork or pro E of the part. Output a secondary file that the 3d printer reads and "prints" a part that can be tested as a prototype. Again, the material would be something like a hard plastic. This would allow you to test it and see if the concept works without actaully machining it. The cost for a single "printed part" would be in the 200/300 dollar range and could be produced in a few hours. This type of stuff has been around for years and the advancements in material options are expanding everyday. If you do a google search for selective laser sintering (SLS) or 3D systems you can find some pretty cool stuff and see what is possable.
  18. @JohnBrooks Yes, I think that other countries do MUCH more for the elite skiers than the USA does. Even at the Pan an and U21 Worlds, the skiers are responsable for ALL travel and tournament expenses including entry fees. You have to pay your own entry fees to represent your country. Heck, they even require you to pay for your own warm-up/track suit.
  19. @chef23 All you have to do is go back and look at the B3 overall list from 2005, 2006. Most of them are not 3 event skiers any more. Heck, some of them are out of the sport entirely. Storm is one of the few active three eventer from that list of the top guys. Real life gets in the way and skiers start to work. Zack, JT, Adam Pickos and Cale Burdick who all skied at this years worlds, were all strong overall skiers when juniors. It is tough to train 3 event as you get older. One of the few who has stayed at the top is Regina. Hats off to her to be able to balance a bussiness, hold a world record in slalom, and still be a 3 event threat on the water. There is very little incentive to maintain three event for the skier. Look at the Open div overall at Nationals. Dylan, who is one of the best in the US, is only ranked in the top 35 on the worlds list.
  20. @klindy Don't have a answer for that. Maybe Team Canada did not think they would use her slalom score and she decided not to ski. They had slalom scores from Jason, Whitney, Steven and Taryan.
  21. @skihard Neilly tricked 6890. Tied for 10th and into the finals later today.
  22. @gator1 If schools were forced to do that, then they could not sell that degree in "International Affairs with a concentration in International Diplomatic Services"
  23. @ilivetoski. ULL needs to improve the jump side of the mens teams. They were only five points behind ULM going into the last event. (Mens jump) Adding a slalom stud by itself, does not bring eneough to offset the jump difference. The point difference between Dane and the fourth place score for ULL was only 115 points. Not enought to offset the more than 250 point victory by ULM. Now on the other side, the ULL Women team took care of what they needed. The men just fell short in jump. Still tough to beat ULM
