  1. @B_S pretty sure you won't see Nate set a world record this weekend behind a Malibu
  2. @nater Thank you. I guess I still have not learned how to navigate the new website. It is not very user friendly.
  3. Based in the ID it looks like it might have been a colegate tournment?? I was not able to find the complete scorebook. I am sure I am missing something. ???
  4. @wish if you look at the requirements above, my guess is that most class c are not even close to meeting the next level up. Sr driver, scorer, judge and tech controller is a big requirement.
  5. Keep in mind that the level, number, and location of judges are also criteria that separate the class level. Too many other factors than speed and sure path.
  6. As Keith said prior. The can-am tournament was the highlight of the year for several years. The Melnick family were always outstanding hosts and you were treated like royalty from the time you arrived at the site, till you left. At that time, I think that the house @skinxs owns had been vacant for several years. Many fond memories from that lake. If you came in hot into 1 ball from the starting dock, you just might end up on the shore. No one ever did, but the potential was there.
  7. My son wore a hockey helmet from about age 8 till about 20 with a full cage. Painted the cage to match his skis. Only word of advice is to remove the strap that goes under the neck. Get a strap that fits to the chin. He was a OK jumper
  8. Wow. Thar's a big number for that sq footage. Texas private lake 2400 plus sq feet one acre lot 440,000
  9. @6balls I skied with Barry when he was in Texas for several years. Always loved his socks pulled up to almost his knees with a pack of cigarettes stuffed in them. Great guy.
  10. I would recommend no less than 2150. 2200 would be better. Especially if you will ever pull any 36mph. You might say now that you only ski 34. What about any future ski partners. If you are going to build it. Do it right.
  11. @DAKERS A few years ago, when the nfl draft was in Dallas. You came into town to do a little trash talking. The next day, you got invited out to our lake to ski. One of our die hard cowboys fan neighbor was not too happy about it when he found out after the fact. He did get over it eventually.
  12. Hockey helmet with cage. Pretty inexpensive and designed to protect against head injuries.
  13. After slalom, they can put on the trick ski to see the result of that battle
  14. What I noticed was that several long time Goodman loyalists were on other brands. I also saw a lot of mismatched pairs. Two skis from different years based on the graphics.
  15. @Horton I bet you could sell it for 50 bucks
  16. It looks like the rope on the dock has some frays in it.
  17. Hard edge. Rubber edge designed for toe tricks
  18. @SlalomSteve this is a non cash price event. A lot of the top tier skiers wont show up for nationals.
  19. @LeonL in both 2008 & 2009 you had a choice of graphic option. We had one in each year and we went with what was called "classic" which is like the photo above.
  20. The worst cases are in jump. I know too many jump drivers who want to pull high end jumpers in tournaments but do not pull any practice. They keep the sr jump driver rating by pulling a few tournament jumpers. They are the same drivers that say you can't pull tournament slalom unless you drive practice into -39. I call BS and whatever. Why are high level jumpers asked to deal with the risk of putting up big scores behind drivers with no seat time but have a rating.
  21. @Wayne having grown up as a kid and living on strawberry lake for 50 years, this hits close to my heart. Some of my best memories are spending days up and down the huron river. I still kick myself for selling that piece of property. Unfortunately I was not able to get back to that area as much to enjoy the place. Keep us all posted and let us know what we can do to support. Best of luck. Also have some pretty good times at the zukey lake tavern
  22. There is no way the boat path will pass any type of video review. Unless you are in Europe.
  23. If packed properly, you can get jumpers, two trick skis and a slalom, with all the other needed stuff along with swim suits and towels in the 92 inch bag. As for bag fees it is hit and miss. It seams like going into a larger event like nationals, if the schedule works out that you ski early in the week...they tend to let the fees go. Later when they have handedly a bunch of big bags good luck. I have also found that if I check the bag in, I get charged. If my son checks in the female agents let him slide. Don't know why.
  24. 6'5 skied at 255 (maybe as high as 275) plus on 68 inch ski. At my best have run a few full passes at 35. Never broke a ski but as others have said, several ropes and handles. Been on O'brien, Duvual, KD, D3. After many years of getting fat I have started to get serious about the weight loss. Have gotten down near the 255 mark again and strapped on a pair of jumpers this year for the first ride in at least 12 years. Thinking another 30 lbs or so and next year can get serious. Will zero off give re rides for slow boat times? I have gotten my fair share over the years. Tournament drivers get ready. Hope to see you next year
  25. From santa fa, I would head south east to Dallas then east to Shreveport. Or, south to austin, San Marcos, Houston , then on to Bennett's
