This pass week I finished my 26th repower starting back when we could still get 5.7 bobtails . Boats from Hawaii, Oregon, Arizona, Utah, Washington, Idaho and California I have two more scheduled after the first. These 6.0 customers chose to have a new 80A transmission which makes my job easier. There are no more parts for the 40A and there hasn’t been for a long time.You can see most of the boats that I have done on ski hub. There are no 5.7 bobtails or long blocks at indmar and hasn’t been for a long time. I am almost done with a ZO conversion on a 1994 Mastercraft pictures in February. Very busy summer and thanks to E control working with me the pass 4 years I have a 2006 Mastercraft 5.7 MCX non cat running on a 4G cal and ZO. I should have the 5.7 MCX CAT and the Malibu Mansoon done next summer. I hardly ever come on this site and read treads but I was told about this one.

Number 10 repower this year just finished it this afternoon along with a new rudder and port new steering cable tilt and back mount helm. Updated to zero off to single ECI puck. 3 more to do have one engine here and 2 more on there way

You can me your head unit I will flash it on my bench. I do have some ECI antenna's in stock

How were the people skiing yesterday? We have had in the pass lakes that have had a algae bloom that plays havoc with PP boats its like oil on the surface . We have had to take as much as 100 + rpm out of the baselines but your skiers would fill it. Its like ice skating

If you have the 2 Garmin puck system we had problems with boats across the country this summer They did some changes with satellites in the atmosphere which caused lots of interruptions in signals if you look in your diagnostic screen and see Bad Poss that means you lost signal between satellite and puck. We did not see the problem if you were running the ECI puck just a drop of how many satellites were recognized

I fill I need to jump in on this I just received 3 bobtail engines and 3 ZO systems for a 98,99 and 02 to repower this will make a total of 12 boats I have repowered with numerous conversions thrown in there that’s a Nautique boat with a Chevy motor already installed converted to ZO.Customers that I have done this for have been totally satisfied also have done Mastercraft ,Malibu. Here’s the bad news Indmar and E Control have quit building the 3 header E control ECM GCP based they only build 4G based which not only makes converting a Mastercraft and Malibu impossible if your ECM goes out on your boat that has this a GCP based ECM your SOL the good news is I have been working with Freddy Krueger and E control to get this resolved and it looks like we may have an answer I will be testing one in the next couple weeks.My next thing I would like to address is this notion about well I can’t practice behind a repowered 196 because I won’t be skiing behind it in a tournament well unless you are bucks up and own a Mastercraft,Mailbu,Carbon Pro and Nautique you never know what your skiing behind at a tournament they all have different wakes and different pulls so just suck it up and go put enjoyment back into tournament skiing

Your kit came with the new ECI puck not the Garmins so there is no taking apart the deutsch plug the bottom of the ECI female goes into the hole you drill and yes it is 1" First use Blue painters tape on the deck drill the hole then put the harness through the hole contact the antenna that way you know its seated then pull off the backing tape set it in place

Check to see if it has a E-control ECM on the engine if so you may only need to load a new calibration in it so it recognizes ZO the rest is easy as Malibu builds a breakout tee so its all plug and play your kit will come with the ECI puck drill one you have any questions you can call me I have done 6 Malibu's 909 223 4427
