  1. MillerTime Will do and Thanks
  2. I had the good fortune of sharing practice sites with Mongo for most of 35 years. We made many road trips to great tourneys and we always had fun. He was one of a kind and there will be a big void at the lake without him. My thoughts and prayers are with Melinda,Scott and Family, and his many friends. Mongo has found the perfect site. Boog
  3. I am a lot owner at LATC.Bigtex described the lake direction and wind opportunities. There is no sun glare am/pm. Lake Granbury is a river lake so there are good places to open water ski. There was a ski club/course in the late70’s but the lake current during the rainy Season washed the course away(a few times). The town and area seems more laid back than DFW which is a definite plus.
  4. Really sucks for the area. I hope you can get your power back on soon!
  5. I haven't skied the 04 SN in question but I have seen it and it looks clean. The Owner is super nice and it looks like he maintains everything well.
  6. West Palm/Okeeheelee is an amazing spot for Nationals. Hopefully we can be invited back in the not too distant future. Many thanks to Jeff Surdej and others who are working hard to make the best of this situation!!!
  7. I am also a user of one of Daves inventions(powervest) to help with back issues. Dave was a driving force for waterskiing from an international level all the way down to the individual skier level. My heart goes out to the Goode family and business.
  8. Dean at Deans Lake in Dallas took delivery of one of these for our club boat a few weeks ago. Very sweet boat.
  9. @MillerTime38 I spoke with Ron and he has someone from Timber Cove(Granbury) checking out the boat. Take Care.
  10. Praying for a good result from your surgery on Monday. God Bless you!
  11. Horton-any more recent news on this?
  12. The 9700 can sit in the garage for 10 years and still be ready to go when you need it. It is a pretty amazing ski!
  13. I have used a powervest for the last 7 years. I think you would risk serious back injury without the backplate. The backplate spreads/transfers the load from the straps.
  14. Great skiing at nationals Brad. Nice looking practice boats !
  15. @MillerTime38 I have to blame it on the driver. Some guy named Chad Scott !
  16. The Butterfield and Stange families from Sherman,Tx.skied lights out at SMRR! Way to go!
  17. It is good to hear that there is some forward movement on a ZO setting for trick mode slalom.Any new updates would be appreciated. Maybe Bruce will get his wish for the new mode in the not too distant future.
  18. I tried trick mode on my last pass of the day last Wednesday. I actually asked for a change to plus but my boat driver is a comedian. I ran the pass ok and the driver said the boat engine had a noticeable increase In rpm at what seemed like the right time in the course. So my boat driver decided to try trick mode for his ski set. I was driving and was amazed at how well matched the rpm increase Was to the skier resisting the boat. The boat observer agreed. The skier ran through 38 @34 for the first time this year! The 3 of us skiing that day have 90 plus years of tournament slalom experience and we left Wednesday pretty fired up about trick mode for slalom. Trick mode for slalom or something like it would be a nice option.
  19. With the injury you have it would be best if you tried the pro version. This has the waistbelt cut off and is much more normal feeling. I have been a power vest user since about two years after ZO came out due to a lower back issue.Whatever comedy relief the PV provides is a plus.
  20. Here are a few other choices from SIA. 68.5 Goode 9800-34081-$300 69 senate c-33943-$325 68 goode-9960-33233-$600 this is probably a 68.5 I have skied the 68.5 goodies at 220lbs and I think they would work for your weight. These skis are short line capable. Also tried a 67 senate c for a while.it was too small but the 69 should be ok. Either of the first 2 skis won't cost much to try. I ski with mongo and I agree with@mad11 that the wide ride is also a good choice. You will need hard shells to make the wide ride work.
  21. Bent a ml handle from straight to way beyond radius this year. They replaced it no questions asked.Randy did look at me wierd though.
  22. If the rules could be revised to where you weren't required to judge the gates through class E you could run a regional slalom class E event with 2 tower judges(just like is required now), no gate cameras,no gate DVRs,no gate monitors or wiring between all of that stuff. It would be a move in the right direction for making these events look more appealing to host sites and the volunteer officials (sorry to be slightly off topic).
  23. @MrJones thanks for the settings info.
