  1. I've always just drained the block, and never used anti-freeze. How do you guys capture the anti-freeze in the spring?
  2. Ok, maybe we need a new thread on 'Who's going be there?' Andy's entrance will no doubt generate increased shoreline attendance. Yes, Andy is the Legend, but we've all seen that the current group of big dawgs is capable of running 39s back to back to back. For the 'lower' ranked dawgs, luck...you need lots of luck on your side, and perhaps a slight bad luck on your competitors. If you beat Andy et al, you should ask them to sign your ride...'I was beaten by xxx, signed yyy'.
  3. Sorry to hear about the theft. Do you have a serial number, so if one of us spot it on sale somewhere?
  4. Thanks for the information Garn and Scot. Let me look into St George.
  5. Utah Guys, Are there water skiing sites in or near Cedar City, Utah?
  6. Anybody set up a web cam at the lake, either wired or wireless? Any recommendations on the camera itself? Tips and gotchas are appreciated of course.
  7. So, there are standard fins, slot fin, flex, etc. I know the shape itself will have effects on ride attribute. But what about the 'holes'? How are numbers of holes, locations, and size affect the ski ride?
  8. I'd venture to guess that most LFF are right handed. If you're right handed, then think holding the handle like a baseball bat.
  9. boatcradles.com gets my business. Side pipe mount for grease, maintenance, and additional clearance reasons. Like GAJ0004 said, ..'type of lift that is the most like the trailer.' Also if you hang by the lift rings, wouldn't there be a lot of pressure in the middle of the hull? Whereas a cradle system spreads the boat weight load more evenly across the hull.
  10. It seems to me that for RFF, rotating front foot clockwise will improve 1/3/5 turns, because it'll allow more leverage on that side, thus providing more bite. At least it's like that on snowboard.
  11. Aquaplex did have water issues last year. However, my understanding is that it's a very rare occurrence (first time it happened). SMRR is new obviously newer. I'd just say that you cannot go wrong with either one. But I think the bottom line is which community you feel most comfortable with, and fit your need better. You should go hang out at each site, and talk with folks who are there. We all know that MAD11 is at Aquaplex.
  12. The 9100 is the only Goode that has the channel or box design on the top sheet. This in theory makes it more torsional rigid. And also far more stronger ski that has less likelihood of snapping in the middle. All things considered or being the same. A flat piece of material compared to one that has the channel will have different strength and flex characteristics. Try it. Glue a pair of straws on a sheet of paper and see. As far as build-in twist is concerned, I suppose that can have a positive effect on transitions and turns.
  13. inserts AND life time warranty! I am definitely interested. Though I had never had any issue with warranty.Â
  14. I'm curious about this new ski as well. So, I guess there will be R, L, and Neutral? Slim or no chance on inserts? It seems to me that adding re-enforcement in the ski + inserts would weight less than the required velcros and plate to mount most bindings.  You can drill and mount snow ski bindings on his snow skis.
  15. So, it seems like a common theme for skiers, dedicated water skiers and snow skiers, to hate either winter or summers. Or at least can't wait when the skiing season starts.  Some of us ski year round, so the worst months are 'tweenrs', say late November/early Decembers and April, depending on when you are. What months do you like the best and least? For me is Feb/March (Powder!), and June/September because it's not crazy hot.
