  1. 2021 Radar Senate Pro 67” for sale. Lethbridge Alberta $1200 Canadian
  2. If you are just going to stay recreational skiing and all the other water sports go with the Nautique VDrive. The extra space is great and much more family friendly. If want to go hard on slalom cannot beet the Prostar especially at longer lines slow speeds. The Malibu Response with a Wedge is another option, a great family boat that you can actually surf behind with little added weight and still great slalom wakes. Response is similar in size to the Prostar though so not as good for space as the Vdrive. I have a Prostar and love it, my younger kids wish I had a surf boat.
  3. Bruce, I have a torn ligament that holds the bicep tendon in place. It is creating a lot of pain and as a result decrease in strength. As far as they can see no rotator cuff issues ect which is often the case. Tried PT for a year with no change. Will definitely go to PT after surgery.
  4. I have seen an ortho and likely need a Bicep Tenodesis or Tenotomy (Cutting Bicep Tendon and reattaching it vs no reattachment). Just seeing if anyone has had one of these procedures and did it affect your skiing after rehab. Ortho didn't seem to think there would be a strength issue between the two processes but some literature seems to say Tenodesis is better for strength but longer rehab. I am an attorney and always hate when people ask legal questions on a site vs asking their attorney but most surgeons have no knowledge of skiing and the forces it places on your body. Thanks
  5. Tough to beat a Malibu Response for wake at this price range for open water.
  6. Not sure if this is the right thread but I am debating between a 2019 and 2020 Senate Pro. I can pick up a 19 relatively cheap to the '20. Anyone try both and know how they are skiing different. I am on a 2016 Vapor and like it but am a 34mph 15-28off skier. Thinking the switch to Senate Pro '19 or '20 may be more beneficial for me than my 2016 Vapor.
  7. The Carbon Pro tried to fill the less expensive but good boat niche. No one bought them. My brother has one and is best ski wake for my longer line abilities. We are getting gouged by the boat companies but until people stop buying the newest boats they won’t change. That or the big 3 will simply stop building ski boats and produce more surf boats where people really get gouged. 200,000 for a boat designed to go 10mph.
  8. My daughter really likes the lyric at similar speed and ability.
  9. Castle Mountain as a home hill and a week in Banff for Louise and Sunshine for Alberta.
  10. I hate to say this but what you are asking for I don't think they really make. A pellet cooker is meant for slow cooking and takes time, a gas or propane cooks quick. This is like trying to buy a crossover boat hoping it will do both well but doesn't really do either well. Buy a pellet grill for smoking and a propane gas grill for your burgers and quick cooking.
  11. They make you pay GST at the border. They really don't care about the boat, have to have the trailer information though. Have to show no recalls ext. That is the biggest hassle. You then have to have the trailer inspected here which adds a couple hundred more dollars. When dollar is low in Canada a great buy, when higher is not such a great deal. There is a lot more options in the States. Its been a few years so I might be missing a few things.
  12. Skied behind 6L CP and has the best wake at longer line lengths. That being said seating material, fit and finish and a few other things are not as nice as the big 3 but still good. Price was crazy good.
  13. I know 6 woman, including my wife and daughter, who are in your weight range and speed. They all prefer the 67". The lyric binding is really comfortable and for your skill level performance wise should be good.
  14. They have been making them remove the course on Echo now. Was put up twice last year and removed by State within a week each time.
  15. So after looking at this what are you guys using. For ordering there are the smaller "shot" bottles. This looks the easiest but is it the best.
  16. I have a 2011 68 Strada. Looks like your looking 67 but let me know if interested
  17. I just bought a 68" Vapor. Am really excited. Anyone have latest numbers for a 68". If it makes a difference I am a 34mph 28off skier. Thanks
  18. My son is 10 and just starting to slalom and he is not aggressive. He is only 65lbs though. I am just wanting a very stable ski that he can eventually make some turns on. Is a 65" Theory way to big. I know weight wise it is a big ski but for a beginner will this work ok. I have an older 62" HO but it was more of a performance ski and was very twitchy for my other kids learning on it.
  19. I hope this works. We are getting jacked in boat price from the ski boat manufacturers right now. Another option would be great.
  20. How do you like the Senate. I have been on a strada and love it but in the course I am slowing down so feel a senate will turn a bit better for me at 30-32mph 15-28off. At 34mph strada turns great.
  21. With there being a new Vapor is there going to be a new Senate this winter? I am most likely buying one but will wait for a new model if coming soon.
  22. For me 38 is a length I dream about so can't say for sure. That being said the Extreme Tower I have is much further forward than the Illusion tower they put on some. I have hit the side of an Illusion tower at lengths of 22 off.
  23. I think I am just bothered. The wake on the 196 was a thing of beauty. That being said with my Malibu I can fit all the kids and gear on public water, wakeboard and surf with the wedge down which I don't think is possible in the 196. But the wake was so nice. I think I just have a serious case of wake envy now. I am a big proponent that life is filled with trade-off's and you can't have everything. This is one of those trade offs.
  24. So, I have a 2001 Response lx with walkover open bow, wedge, and tower. Often have family of 6 in the boat with a fair bit of gear. I in general really like my wake and think it is smaller than other Malibu Lxi's I have been in, and like it better at longer lengths than the pre 2014 prostars. We usually run 28-34mph for me and the kids and 15-28 off is where my experience on these boats. My friend just bought a 05 Nautique 196 and its wake is considerably nicer (smaller and non existent at 28off with no trough). Is the 196 just that much better or does my tower and extra weight make that much of a difference. I know water displacement makes a big difference as I know my wake is much nicer with 1/4 tank of gas, no kids, and no gear than loaded up. Does a tower make that much difference on boat wakes? I could take my tower off and compare but I am far to lazy for that, it is easer to just ask fellow ballers.
