  1. I have no manufacture preference. I was using the optimized rope early to mid season and for the first time my elbows and shoulders were on fire. I thought I was skiing too much. Heard some comments went back to my old rope and pain was gone in a few days.
  2. Call these guys they are great https://www.skidim.com/
  3. I spent a lot of time in Yokosuka back in the 80's. There are a few places to ski over there but the best in my opinion is Lake Kawaguchi. Last time I was there was 2008 and they still had the jump. Skiing will be icing on the cake you are going to love Japan! Go Navy!
  4. 10 minutes no matter time of day. Working to join the 100' commute club.
  5. Just had the same issue check the wire that runs from the tach to Perfect pass mine was corroded up in the dash behind the tach. I cleaned it and it works fine. Good luck
  6. A water ski will not fit into a regular sport tube with bindings and have enough room for extra padding. I have not used the waterski specific tube. It is easy to wrap the skis with clothes for padding. We did fit 3 full size (4 pair of skis) tubes into a hatch back rental car with the middle seat folded down along with ski bags etc. In my opinion no better way to put skis on a plane worry free.
  7. Just used this to carry 4 pair nordic skis and poles overseas. Wrapped them with clothes and no damage. Could easily haul a slalom ski wrapped in your clothes and anything else you would want to pack as protection. Carry on the bindings or check in another bag. No charge for the checked ski box. http://www.rei.com/product/638691/sportube-double-ski-case
  8. Good Luck Ral! I had neck surgery C7-T1 a year ago last month, the first couple weeks were the worst only because you are afraid that moving your head is going to mess up the work the docs have done. Don't push too hard too soon with your therapy, take care of yourself and you will be feeling good enough to put up the tree at Christmas and ready to ski come spring.

  10. I have a friend that went through the stem cell process in Colorado not sure if it was Broomfield, no luck and a lot of money out the window. She went to a local Rolfer that has traveled to several olympics and is running, hiking and snow skiing again. Good Luck
  11. Than, I would respectfully disagree with your thoughts on the 10 year old or anyone else for that matter. My b1 ran over 2 ball at his first regionals at Crystal Point. A graze silimilar to the pic above and continued to ski the pass. I knew instantly he was finished. Sure it was a hard way to learn that lesson but he knew he hit the ball and that was not ok. Good news he went on to win b1 5 or so years later. The point is when we cut slack or over step the (rule in the skiers favor) we are really doing them a disservice in the long run. I would much rather have the skiers of any age learn the lessons or rules locally without the pressure of the bigger tournaments. I have seen numerous instance of unhappy parents and unhappy skiers when calls are made that clearly are correct and the skier is use to the friendly ruling on home sites for gates etc. In the case of the picture above I would call it a miss. In real time who knows based on the following pictures she would have got it. Those are judgement calls and that why we have more than one.
  12. She is awesome! I grew up in Ohio and remember her when I was in Jr Boys. I took my family back for the last Atomic Open and Lucille had driven from Florida, slept in her car and was ready Saturday morning. I remember she was talking about how they made her stop jumping! What an inspiration!
  13. I see that. I have not been there much since I started following BOS
