  1. I use that one all the time when I see someone grabbing the handle to soon before the ski finishes. Am I a bad coach
  2. This video never gets old. I've been nursing a problematic rear foot for a many years. When I go to physical therapy or when I signed up with a trainer I use this video to show them the extreme forces associated with slalom. I usually stop the video after two ball as most people's attention span won't last that long and we all know it looks the same whether they're running -32 or -39 off. But after that short clip they always react with an, "oh, I thought you were on two skies doing the whip and fun stuff like that". Nobody really gets it, do they?

  4. Can you post a pic of said hardware? It's all pretty generic, you should be able to match something up.
  5. Had the pleasure of watching him win the WWSP Tourney at Flushing Meadow Park in Queens, NY back in the day. My job was literally right down the block so i volunteered to help out. Drove the pick up boat in a couple of rounds as they didn't want skiers swimming to shore after a miss or fall due to debris etc.
  6. Hmm.. Any pics of it running?
  7. Shot... Pretty cool when you call the dog. Come Shot.

    Salt water use

BTW, I've been boating in salt my whole life. A low hour, well cared for salt water boat is worth a tad less to me then a low hour, pristine fresh water boat.

    Salt water use

@Teddy just to clarify there are two types of closed cooling systems. The most popular and cheapest is the half system, antifreeze in the block but raw water or salt water going out the manifolds and risers. A full system which is not as popular on ski boats runs anti freeze through pretty much everthing. Either way the heat exchanger is basically a radiator, raw or salt water cooling the anti freeze.
  10. Reminds me of my old HP days!
  11. Thanks for all the input and suggestions. I'm thinking this is totally doable, heck I wasn't all that great LFF to begin with:) The one downside If i make the switch is I'll HAVE to turn 5 ball. @Stoner Thanks again for the phone time.
  12. This might sound silly, but does anyone know of someone that changed their front foot foward with any success? My rear foot/ankle is toast and just doesn't flex the way it should for slalom, its also incredibly painful. Is this doable or am bring a bit dillusional?
  13. Thanks for all the input, it kind of confirms the numbers I was thinking. This is a really sweet running package, the red cowling even matches the boat! If things go as planned it might be for sale this winter.
  14. @"Mateo Vargas" I'm trying, every time I try to post a new photo the original photo keeps loading.
  15. 96' PS 190 re powered a few years ago with a brand new leftover PCM 6 liter. ZO, mooring cover, and 09' Boatmate galvanized trailer. Boat drives and skies great. No garage queen but boat is in very nice condition for 20 years old.

    Transmission

After you get the tube out get a rag on that bilge!:)
  17. When you say modify do you mean shaving it like they do to the rudder? When you shave a rudder besides producing some load on the steering i thought the added benefit was you take any slop out of the steering.
  18. D3 Nomad RC and I gave it away to a buddy then I wasted a year on a Helix. I'm on a Quest and back on track.
  19. @Chef23 I got the link you sent via PM Thank You. I can't wrap my head around this injury but i guess anythings possible. The older i get the more pissed i get when something hurts or slows me down. But then again it could be so much worse.
  20. This past Saturday at my last tourney of the year the rope/loop slipped off the pylon (another story) on my gate @ -22 resulting in a pretty good digger into the wake. Got the wind knocked out of me, but other than the shot to the ribs i was OK, no pain or discomfort antwhere else. I woke up Sunday with my ribs just as sore as they were Saturday night so all good on the ribs. Woke up Monday with my right shoulder pretty jacked up, certain motions causing some pretty good discomfort. As the day wore on the shoulder got worse, after my cardio workout Monday night my shoulder was completely jacked. I have an appointment for this Friday with the ortho, anti-inflammatory stuff is out as i'm on blood thinners. I iced it Monday night and it seems better this morning but what gives? Can the shot i took to the right side jack up my shoulder? And if so, why did it a take or so for symptoms to appear? Thanks for any input.
  21. Thanks for all the input guys, @Roger thank you for the generous offer, do you think Nancy will still be around this Winter? I've been with her a few years. I'm the guy that's slumming it behind the old ZO powered 96' ProStar:)
  22. My ski partner and I got a place in West Palm a few years ago to train during the Winter months. We usally tow my boat down in November and bring it back north in May/June. We would like to purchase a boat to leave in FL year round but that means storing it unused during the hot humid months of Summer. There is a slight chance we might score indoor storage but probably the boat will be outside with a full waterline/waterproof cover with four vents. I'm hoping that if the boat is put away bone dry we won't have a problem with mildew. Any additional tips or advice? I don't think we will have access to electric. The only other thing I can think of is removing some of the interior ( motor box,observer/drivers seat, and maybe the trunk) and storing it in the condo. We are pretty much set on a 07-09 SN 196 Thanks in advance.
  23. @BraceMaker interesting info about the hardshells. What's the deal with the Powershells? Are they manufactured by Goode?
  24. @BlueSki I'm running a Wileys mid wrap behind my Relex. I've stuffed the tip a few times on my offside and got a nice clean release every time.
