Heat molded Radar (Vapor) liners and Superfeet. I've NEVER even tried to ski in the Radar boots/liners without Superfeet. I remember just putting my foot in the new boot and the footbed came 1/2 way out when I pulled my foot out.
Simple enough to take the wing off. For convenience and consistency though, guess I'll pony up the $ and eliminate any potential wing movement when experimenting with depth. I may try rolling off the edge lightly with a file -although, I'd say my skiing is probably less consistent than the ~ .005 or so difference that may make... Appreciate the feedback!
This sport is filled with great people. I've skied with (been coached by) a fair number of talented and genuinely good guys: Wade, Ronnie B, Sully, Jamie, Marcus, Will, Chris P and others (?). Every pro I've met reminds me what a great sport I'm addicted to.
Brand new -this ski has never even been wet. This was the last 2014 Vapor available in my area. I purchased it on impulse and have since been advised I really need to be on a 68". Looks like I won't have a choice but to go with a 2015 model to get the length I need.
This ski is made from the same mold as the 2015 Vapor. The only difference is the top graphics. Everything else is identical (exact same performance).
Are there any alternative options to a SPEEDFIN DEPTH GAUGE like the one schnitzskis.com sells for $39.95? Call me cheap but it's hard to see how this little piece of aluminum is worth $40.
Extended my season in AZ with a couple tournament days of 100+ degrees this past weekend but now it's time to dig out my "space suit" (as Zippy said!). We'll most likely be breaking a thin layer of ice as we've done the last few years.
Seems these are hard to find. I've checked around on Ski-it-Again, CL and onlyinboards.com. Anyone have any suggestions on other classified ad sites for boats (or this specific model/year?)
Hey Zippy - After a fair amount of browsing the discussion I finally decided to chime in. After blowing 35 this weekend at Warman I am totally ready to jump on my brand new 2011 Strada with the 'cool guy' new colors. See you at the Ski Park in a few hours!!
