  1. I live in Tampa and there is nothing too close. Mccormicks as mentioned above is closed at at the moment however they are in the process of re-opening the water ski side too (not just the cable). I think they just got their ski boat. Other that, Kyle Eade(Fluid) in Polk City is approx. ~45 minutes way or Ski Paradise in Mulberry (need your own boat)(also about 45 minutes)
  2. I stay in Tampa too and I am looking too! Time to find a lake and start a club it seems if we can get enough people together.
  3. Does anyone have any updated info or new suggestions? I just moved to Tampa so looking for places to ski. I know of Mccormicks in Seffner or else between Fluid and Ski Paradise however these are ~1hr drive.
  4. Just dropped the price to $950 if anyone is interested. Also not sure why I wrote 5 sets ridden in the above! Probably close to 10 but it's pretty much a brand new ski!
  5. Brand New HO Pro 2022 - Used for 5 sets only. Perfect condition. 66" Collect in Tampa or ship to you
  6. No longer need this so I'm selling my ZeroOff programming kit. Used once works as new. All you need is the free Aquastar display software loaded on a laptop along with the latest update file purchased from ZeroOff. Kit sells for $300, selling for $225. PM me if interested or if you have any questions,
  7. Did Nautique ever cover these under warranty out of interest?
  8. We had the same issues. Our passenger side also cracked externally first at about 600 hours and then on drivers side at about 800 hours ait cracked internally We landed up with water in the engine which is obviously not good. We blew the cylinder head. We had our drivers side one, cut open so they could weld internally and it seems to have lasted about 4 months thus far. There is no stock of these parts either. Here is the video of it showing it leaking internally. See video here
  9. I have also tried multiple times recently to contact zero off via phone and email with no response. I would like to upgrade to my 2013 SN 200 5.7L from dual puck to single puck. Does anyone have any contacts at Zero off or someone who can help for a Nautique?
  10. @otcjb - I used the GoPro Media Mod which allow you to output via HDMI to any HD Transmitter and charge at the same time. I was using a normal SD Transmitter so I converted the signal from the GoPro HDMI output to normal AV(RCA) using a box converter to convert the signal. A bit messy. Also, I powered the camera from a power bank as with the boat turning on and off, this was causing a few problems with the camera to freeze. Afterwards, someone mentioned to me to leave the battery out of the camera, but I never tried as yet.
  11. Check your spark plugs. We had an issue where the boat would appear fine but had no top end Or power and it turned out to be the spark plugs

    2013 SN Issues

So today, I put my used set of spark plugs back and the boat ran perfectly fine from the start. However I did get this error message while idling

    2013 SN Issues

Hey Ballers, Wondering if anyone has had experienced anything like this before? We are having a problem where the boat can’t do 58km/h(36mph) for the first few passes of a set. (The times are slow like 16.85 when the boat is meant to be doing 36mph). After 3rd pass, the boat usually comes right and the times are fine again. I initially thought it was zero off/puck related but even with the Zero-off, off, the boat is not performing correctly. On the weekend, we did some tests with the zero off, off and no skier. The first pass the boat wouldn’t go past 36mph with the speed control off. You can even feel, the boat is slow/sluggish on the pull off. The second pass the boat was surging however the speed eventually came right towards the end of the second pass with a normal maximum speed of about 65/66km/h. I have uploaded the videos to dropbox to help show this crazy scenario. - click here You will hear the boat surging. Today, the 1st pass, the boat would only go about 53km/h at full speed(32 mph) at first so the problem seems be getting worse. There is also a lot of white smoke. I have also tried running it with the engine box open. However soon as the boat is switched off, and starts again the same issues come back. Once the boat starts running again and after pass 3, everything is perfect and the boat runs perfectly. Very strange I know. We also always ensure the boat is up to temperature prior to running it. During the tests, the temperate as seen from the video is normal. Boat model: 2013 SN 200, 5.7 litre with 800 hours used only in Fresh Water To date we have tried as follows; • Replacing O2 Sensors • Drained and cleaned fuel tank • Changed all the fuel filters • Changed distributor cap and rotor • Changed spark plugs - Performed compression test. All was in order • New manifold(the one was cracked slightly - redone normal service items - oil, impeller and belt change I have also run the diacom. No error codes to date. Cam retard is at 15 degrees Thank you in advance
  14. @Horton If you look at some of the actual pictures on their website, the release's are quite upright but again very subjective in pictures. However, in the normal position(without bending the upper-cuff backwards towards the release), the boot shouldn't be touching and I agree 100% with this. My understanding is that the 1st picture @sfriis posted is them bending the upper-cuff back wards and not in the "normal upright position" From my experience, the issue comes when you learn far back(again you have to be super far back) which causes the screw to get stuck under the lip of the release. As you come forward again, the screw(now stuck under the lip) then push the lip up and the boot releases. Did you take a look at the videos? I am not saying that I am correct but the fact that we had 5 Reflex boots, 4 of them were releasing incorrectly and those were the four that weren't countersunk correctly, it may be worth a shot. @sfriis hope you come right! :)
  15. @sfriis - I think I may be able to help. The same thing was happening to my dad. Basically what happens is that the screw(that is holding the tether to the upper-cuff) is out too far and not countersunk correctly. So when you get real far back(likely out of the turn), the screws gets pushed under the release mechanism and then when you lean forward again it causes the release mechanism to release.(when you now at the wakes!). It sounds really silly but try countersunk it and It should help solve your problems. See picture below. I have some videos in dropbox for anyone interested. Video can viewed here -
  16. I tend to look at it the other way. Although the Solo is currently limited to the current GoPro at the moment, they are busy developing new cameras for it(they already have working prototypes) and hopefully GoPro release the Hero 5 soon, so there is plenty of change coming if you don't like the Hero 4 camera. The GoPro quality is fantastic. You can also do 4K, super slow motion(120fps etc) but you do have the fish eye effect. The pictures are good and burst mode for water skiing from the gopro is ideal. The biggest reason I chose Solo over the Phantom 3, is that I could continue to shoot with my gopro(not only good quality but a 500 USD saving) and with Solo, it's a film makers dream with all their modes creating better cinematic shots. Also all my videos feature GoPro Only. :) Either way you will enjoy it!
  17. Check out the Solo Drone from 3DR. I previously had the Phantom 2, and then upgraded to the Solo last year August. Solo has a follow mode (which has just been updated). It simply tracks the controller. I tested it before it was updated and it worked well at the slower speeds however at the fast speeds such as 36mph(58km/h) the drone is to slow to react and accelerate as the boat accelerates. At our site, which has a short set up, this is a problem however with a longer and slower run it it may work better. However I found using the Solo, "Cable Cam mode" works really well. Basically you set two points and then Solo draws a straight line between those points and it will only fly along that line. it will no adjust the altitude or go beyond the end of the line thus you don't have to worry about crashing into trees, water etc. So I set a point above the gates at each end and you just have someone trigger the "play" button to initiate the drone so that it starts flying along the cable - Just need some practice on the timing but simple enough to do. A great feature of Solo, is that you have full control over the GoPro(Ie. you can trigger recording, change settings etc from the controller). My favorite is to do, burst mode, which takes 30 photo's over 3 seconds for some epic pics. I posted some clips and photo's on my Instagram using it - @skitrav There is also the air dog drone- I think there a thread here about it. Here is the video of it -Click here
  18. So epic. Can't wait to see the new full episodes. Always top quality content from Marcus!
  19. Hello Fellow Ballers I am looking for some advice/help with the Down Course(End Course) Camera for Splash Eye. E&A(Europe and Africa) purchased a licence for the software back in 2013 and I have been advised that in the near future, we are going to need it for all our tournaments here in South Africa. Firstly, does anyone know what camera we should use for the Splash Eye, Down Course Camera? We tried using a camera with digital lens but couldn't get the buoys(in particular the gates) correctly focused as per their guidelines. Is it possible to make it work with a camera with a digital lens? If not, what camera should we be looking at(model, lens etc.) Do they use Splash Eye for the down course camera at all major events already such as Malibu Open, Masters, Moomba, US Nationals etc? Thanks in advance.
  20. Thanks for sharing @Wish Site is located on the east coast of South Africa. :)
  21. Use a suction cup mount to attach to the ski. Or use a headstrap. Check out my instagam feed for some cool gopro shots! @skitrav
  22. Check out iSki - http://iski.ae/ The only thing is that I think that they are located in Dubai but even so, its only about a 1 hour drive from Abu Dhabi to Dubai
  23. @Chris Taylor Its R300(South African Rands) which is under 30 USD. @gt2003 Yes. I did tether. Very important to do so. GoPro's(even with the floaty) don't float when attached to the suction cup mount
