We have tried all the different formats at our tournaments and it adds some fun but everyone knows that the real format is how regional and nationals are scored. Its seems odd that skill based format is so hard for AWSA to accept yet thats pretty much what MM is.

I could not agree more with Shane, I used to ski every sanction tournament in my area which was alot, got many judges ratings, went to Regionals put on a Regionals now I am done with all that. I have been pushing for some sort of skill based/handicap system for years. I sent letters to my EVP, Regional counsel person, preached to anybody who would listen. It obviously did no good. I will ski tournaments on my own lake and thats about it.

For years I have been trying to figure out why our lake skis so differently than the other lakes nearby, our lake is much clearer and I think this may be a factor. We also had a period a couple of years ago where our lake was "unskiable" and it seemed to be some kind of algae issue, we treated with Cutrine and it helped. There have been similar problems at other lakes when Perfect Pass was still being used and settings had to be changed to accommodate the change in water and had to be adjusted again when the water returned to normal. It would be great to get some scientific data on this!

We are in Newberry Springs which is 2 hours from Vegas, we can get you get you some rides, that time of year the weather can be really cold 50 air/50 water but we do get some nice weather that time of year. Check with me a week ahead we can see if the weather is going to cooperate.

Yes if you remove the cover you can hold the bolt from the bottom, I had a hard time getting mine tight and not leaking so I fabricated a stud so I could get it really tight where it seals and then put a nut on to tighten the cable block. You will need to reseal the cover when you put it back on.
