  1. I remember a lot of the 2008 MC's had both PP and ZO installed. Somebody remind me why PP is no longer approved. Is it simply because the big 3 don't set up their boats with PP and get them approved with PP? Why not have both approved and the skier gets to choose?
  2. I want a reasonably priced boat that I can maintain. A move in the direction of a $350 million jet is not appealing to me.
  3. I kinda like your boat plan.
  4. Regarding the boat, you should check out the steering wheel and warning labels......
  5. I'll try to keep it brief. I'm a 200 lb greenhorn and have progressed from the 67" Theory, to the 67" Senate C (MPD based), to the 68" Strada this summer. No brainer, Strada all the way (skiing at 30mph and 32 mph). It is much less work for me than the Senate C at the same speeds (why?) and I am far more consistent on the Strada. If I can ski the Strada at 200 lbs and 30 mph I can't image 28 being an issue for a lighter skier.
  6. How's this for opposition? From My stuff
  7. "In all honesty, if that was an early pass, I would not have scrutinized it that much if the rest of the pass was clean. Than is on the mark. " Exactly my thoughts (not that I'm an expert). Take baseball for example. When the fielders make a great play and its close the runner is almost always called out.
  8. Sounds like a fun weekend. Wish the rode trip wasn't 2300 miles.
  9. I'm 38 and runnin 200 lbs. I'd say I'm too wide too soon.
  10. Vice gloves run a size smaller. Order one size up from Prolocks. It will still be a snug fit.
  11. Here's a thread on hole patterns, may or may not help http://www.ballofspray.com/forum#/discussion/3436/hole-patterns
  12. July 2011 at 38 years old. I was more pissed that it took me so long than excited about running it. If I could just run 30 mph was the first thing I thought. Now that I’m running 30 mph the thought is “if I could just run 32”. The never ending quests has begun.
  13. Now my mind is REALLY in the gutter.
  14. I will need to see more pictures to confirm.
  15. I was browsing through a short line skier's notes last weekend. He had a 200 and on the same lake was a brand new 197. He skied behind both. His note read "MAJOR DISCOVERY, ZO IS DIFFERENT!!!!" in all caps and covering half the page. The tone was apparent.
  16. A .22 with snake shot works well with a lot less bang than a shotgun (if noise is an issue).
  17. John, will the V take me from 30 mph to 34 mph next weekend? These Radars just aren't getting it done :)
  18. I keep reading about the step bottom of the CoX, the new Connellys, and the S2. I've read reviews on the CoX but have not read where anyone has rode the V (Horton's search engine isn't the best in the world but I'm not complaining). Anybody? I'm a beginner skiing 30mph in the course and see where Marine Products is selling them for $350.
  19. Seriously, from a beginner, a bent back leg and stiff front leg has been one of the hardest things to overcome.
  20. I'm going to wrap my knees with duct tape next time I ski.
  21. I should have said don't "over" tighten them. Point being, your foot and boot should fairly easily slide out of the shell at the end of the set.
  22. Sounds pretty much like wind sprints
