Okay...first let me declare: I am not a software engineer, and I am only a decent(for an old guy that doesn't train) course skier...that beig said, it seems to me that what is most important is where/when the acelleration hits.  In the middle of a turn bad, in the pre-turn would be very bad. So we want it to hit somewhere after the turn has been completed to directly behind the boat. Sooooo, wouldn't an input for rope position allow for a system that would consistently work for a given skier??? Okay, so now somebody needs a position sensor in the pylon....go get 'em guys!
