  1. Usually when stargazer is running well (ball times within a couple of thousandths) zbox runs good as well. That said the newer version is much better without performing background setting changes.
  2. He constantly has to redirect his ski.
  3. I find one of the most important things besides off season training, and mobility work, is how you start your season. I'm on the shelf for pretty much 8 months. If I start right out on the course it's pretty much a recipe for injury. Like any strength training program it needs to be progressive. Problem is your mind knows exactly how to do what your body won't allow. Free skiing to start, than short sets after, running starting passes. This is very important to me especially after a winter of work and feeling strong.
  4. It's all about the knees! Get them right up to your chest keep your abs tight pressure on the front foot and your off to the races. If you don't have good flexibility in your hips that will give you something to work on over the winter. The tighter to your chest the knees are, the faster you will come up, the further out they are the more pressure on your low back.
  5. Great skis don't really need "gadgets" Whenever the manufactures add them they seem short lived.
  6. Stretch! As you age stretching becomes mandatory. Learn to develop your own program and do it religiously. It's the only way to continue in to the "old" years.
  7. Probably from the slot cut. I doubt it's a issue, but at the same time new ski should have a clean cut. I would piss and moan a bit then ski it.
  8. The forward shift of the fin might be compounding the problem as your describing. As the fin goes forward the tip is raised. The fin should be set up so that you don't have to move around on the ski too much. It's very difficult to get consistency when you have to make weight shifts to make things happen.
  9. @jhughes Did you find it as much work as the Rev 6?
  10. If your on new bindings, a common effect is not being able to turn at first. Takes a little time for you to adjust.
  11. So ski it at the factory numbers. If the tip isn't engaging in the turns, move them forward. Also lots of glide might be bindings too far back.
  12. This would be good news for me. I'm looking for 30" and with the binding holes I can only get 29 7/8. Next stop 30 1/4
  13. @skialex No problem. I really like hearing about skis that I haven't been on. Skied a set with the Ion 2 new ski with new bindings not ideal. I came away with a very good impression of the Ion 2. Time will tell!
