  1. @kellybrewer, that ski site you see as you are passing blackfoot is the one I ski on almost daily. Your more than welcome to take a set when your in the area.
  2. @colo_skier my sister lives in Black Forest. She is off of Hodgen road close to highway 83.
  3. I don't think there are any ski lakes close by. If you go North of Denver there are several lakes. My guess is you at least 1.5-2 hours from a ski lake. You might want to look a Laku Landing, http://lakulanding.com/ If you look at google earth and download the ski sites directory there are 4 or 5 lakes North of Denver.
  4. It is the real deal. He works for a Nautique dealer and between family and work has not had the chance to use the boat as much as he would like. The boat is in great condition and will reflect the 50 hours on the meter. I think he is looking to find an early 2000 boat that he doesn't have to feel bad about not using.
  5. A friend of mine is thinking about selling his 2009 196 with the 409 in it. He asked me if I would put the word out and see if there was some interest. It has 50 hours on the meter. I think he is asking around $36,000. I don't have the specifics or pictures, but if you're interested let me know and I can get the info.
  6. So I have been trying to figure out how to set up my Nano 1. The ski is very sensitive to boot placement. When I measure my boots I can get a number of different measurements depending on were I take the measurement from. I am wondering if anyone has a consistent way to set up boots on a ski. When I look at the Goode manual it says to measure the ski from the tail to the back of the boot and makes reference to, "inside of the horse shoe on the front boot.". Any idea what the horse shoe is on a boot? BTW I am using Goode Powershells.
  7. Mineral spirits with a razor blade scraper. Supper easy, just did it the other night. The mineral spirits work really fast compared to any goo removers.
  8. Tractor weights work great also. You can get them from Lowes. http://www.lowes.com/pd_276597-573-BG20029_0__?productId=3030006&Ntt=tractor+weights&pl=1&currentURL=%3FNtt%3Dtractor%2Bweights&facetInfo=
  9. CEO of a regional land title insurance company located in the Pacific NW.
  10. @Waternut-It's nice to be able to get my skiing done and spend time with the family in the evening.
  11. Not bad for Idaho. Just five minutes from my office. Makes having a nooner a lot easier!
  12. @AB when you click on the link you have scroll down to the bottom of the page and select page three. Then scroll down and select the last picture. That should be the beginning of the series of pictures.
  13. I extracted some still photos from an Iphone video taken while I was skiing. The picture series is of me at 3 ball 32 off 34 mph. This is a pretty typical example of my skiing. 32 off is my second hardest pass with a tournament pb 4@35. I am looking for some suggestions on how to improve my offside turn and how to establish a better stacked position coming out of the turn. I have always struggled getting my hips under me and I thought that someone might be able to identify what I might be doing wrong that causes me to be out of a stacked position. I also would like some suggestions as to why my upper body is so far out of position coming off the second wake when I start my pre-turn. Below is a link to flickr you will want to start on page 3 and work back to page one to see them in order. Thanks in advance for your help.
  14. Try uship.com. If you ever want to ski give me a call. You're always welcome. Quinn
  15. @ShaneH-You must have a great dealer because my 08 LTD new was no where near $38-$39 and I know my dealer gave me a great deal(or maybe my dealer was laughing all the way to the bank). I think my 02 LTD was close to that amount. Last spring I sold my 08(with tandem axle trailer) with 240 hours for $34,000.
  16. Jody-What is the SN 6.0L HO? What is the HP difference between the standard 6.0L?
  17. I think this is the look Than is growing for.
  18. I am heading to Orlando for business next week. I was wondering if anyone had any favorite ski schools they would recommend. I have skied with Drew and Jodi Fisher. Both are great but I was wondering if anyone had recommendations for other coaches in the area.
  19. So I'm driving along at about 20 mph and all of a sudden I spot a stick poking out of the water about 20 feet from the boat. I immediately drop the boat into neutral and in that instant the boat hits a giant sand bar. Well, 45 minutes, seven people, a couple of shovels, we finally get the boat off of the sand bar. Fortunately, no one was hurt and I managed to avoid ripping all of my running gear out of the bottom of the boat. In fact the only damage I could see was a small ding in the first skagg (sp). Whew, worst and probably best day ever.
  20. You guys remind me of my wife. Her opinion on how well something works is based on whether or not it matches her outfit and is pretty ;) I can just see the next forum topic, should gloves, life vest, and ski all match? Is it a skiing faux pas if your vest and gloves don't have your ski logo on them?
  21. @sunvalleylaw- yes he wants to sell his RCX. I went from the RCX to a X7 but I also demo'd the Z7st. The Z7 st was a little faster than the RCX and the offside turn seemed more stable. The RCX had a tendency to stall on my offside. The X7 was much more consistent in the turns but not as fast as the RXC and Z7 st. qstufflebeam at titlefc dot com
  22. My buddy just got a new X7 to replace his RCX, it is a 67. Even better is that we are in SE Idaho. If you want to come over and ski it before you buy you might save yourself from making another bad decision.
  23. After 2 sets a day 3 days in a row I start to struggle with my skiing. I usually ski 2-3 days in a row then take a day or 2 off. My form definitely suffers when I am fatigued. 4 days in a row with two sets a day is too much for my body. rarely do we get 3 days in a row of no wind so I am usually forced to take a day off because it is blowing.
