  1. OB, That is awesome! Last year my oldest son who was 2.5 came to me after watching both his mom and I ski and he said he wanted to ski. Awesome! He got right up and went for what seemed like a half hour down and around both turn islands. It was a great day. The next time he came out to the lake with me it was a bit cold and windy. Non the less he jumped on the ski and away he went. I got excited and decided to up the speed..........bad idea. He fell around the turn island and I think it was cold and he may have been a little scared from the fall. Its been almost a year and he still shows no intentions of wanting to ski. Oh well, my mistake and lesson learned. I'm not pushing him but I pray that some day again he will want to ski with his Dad again.
  2. Mr. Richard Doane also ran it this past Sunday. Hard earned too, lots of good entertainment the previous 5 attempts.
  3. Tried logging in a handful of times with email and was not able to get in. I unchecked the "keep me logged in" and it got me in.
  4. Are most of you at 34 mph? Anyone at 36? I'm trying to figure out if the Goode skis better for the 34 guys than the 36.
  5. I feel like I learned to really ski this year. I went from making a 22 off at 36 every once in while to tonight I ran two 28s back to back and then ran 5 at 32 off. Some things I contribute this to is working on my two handed gate and bringing my hips to the handle and not pulling hard. I also learned how to get early to the ball and allow the ski to come out from under me and begin to get on the turning edge. This helped me a ton as I was able to get the ski slowed down enought to make a nice turn around the ball. I love this sport more every time I get behind the boat.
  6. This thread is totally worthless. Who throws a worm out there like that and just leaves us hanging.
  7. Not sure what you mean by sluggish but I'll bet thats a by product of a boat that tracks better. I may be wrong but I'll bet the new BIGGER boats are also the best tracking boats ever built. Like 6balls said above, all it has to do is make it around the islands with ease and then be able to pull a skier through the course on a straight boat path. The bigger the boat the stronger the pull too, not so easy to pull the boat down. I'm kind of playing devils advocate above, I too think I would like to see a smaller slalom boat. However, I'm starting to talk myself out of it.
  8. UWSkier, thats a sweet looking boat. I wish they would get that boat AWSA approved. Then maybe some of the promo guys could opt for it.
  9. MS, Why don't you step up and buy a Centurion Carbon Pro? Sounds like its right up your alley.
  10. Sweet, how did you like the new ride? Who's that good looking guy in the water there next to the Strada. I seem to remember he was in the water alot that day.
  11. Man, you guys are hard on stuff. :) The good news is that you aren't fixing broken ankles or bent rails.
  12. Radar will be in production of new Stradas at the end of the month.
  13. The hammerhead had problems with low oil pressure. Not sure its the best motor out there. No way, will you get into a promo boat for close to that price. Unless its beat and has tons of hours on it.
  14. Oh yea, my sets end up being pretty long as I fall often. 8 - 10 passes
  15. I'm with Than Bogan on this one. I follow what he suggested alot.
  16. a long way, long away considering at this point no one has done it. Its all just an idea at this point.
  17. Horton, I looked like you got a lot of spray in your face on the 1, 3, 5 side. Is this typical with D3?
  18. Wish and Skibug are making me feel good. I can't stop laughing. I have a vision of meshing the two behaviours together. Oh crap, I'm laughing pretty good now. Good stuff!
  19. I ski with a guy who is 63 or 64, He was struggling with 35 off this spring and he would be extremely pumped after running it. He would say "there are only a finite number of those left in me". A few days ago he ran 2 at 38 off the dock. Pretty impressed. He also ski's year round with me in the Pac NW.
  20. Are your knees and legs stiff. I have this same problem when I am skiing with stiff legs. I have to remember to keep my knees soft and flixible. I also try and focus on staying centered or balanced on the ski.
