@andjules, the first one 2mi morth is where I ski, the next one up you saw is Liquid Zone. If you go to the west there is two more within a few miles as well. We have lots in Sacramento area.

Awhile back coming home from my club I noticed a tree line very indicative of a ski lake. I looked it up on google earth and it apperars it may be a ski lake. Its a bit odd, and short but has the potential. I don't know why I care, just curious I guess. 38°49'6.94"N 121°28'33.11"W

Here is another great boat I found. I have no affiliation. This is a 2001 Ski Nautique in great condition. It has 64 hours. Enigine is a PCM 5.8 HO 25th anniversary GT-40 310HP. Of course I don't want the boat, it's been in Moored in Salt Water! Hopefully the DMV gets it right this time. I re filed the paperwork once again.

He's not using on private lake. Property tax bill says its moored Harbor Point Marina in Newport. Just got back from DMV and it is still titled in my name. I can get a duplicate tilte, but then what? Pay the fees and try and find the boat? @skimech, its re-evaluted every year. So you wont pay 600 every year.

I have is name and old address from the bill of sale . I have already filed it with DMV twice. For some reason they cant seem to get the boat out of my name. Very wierd, i have bought and sold many boats and have never come across this. Obviousdly the guy is avoiding paying any taxes on it. Here is California you have to pay sales tax when you transferr owership and then a yearly property tax of 1% of the value. He has not done any of it in 5 years! So as far as the DMV knows the boat is still mine .

I bought in 05 a brand new Malibu RLXI. I sold it in Feb 07. The following years I kept getting bills for property tax on it and had to fax the county the bill of sale and the paperwork I filed with DMV. For a few years I did not recieve anything until late 2010 or so. The boat had now been moved to a Orange County and they were now requesting property tax on the boat . I again faxed them the paperwork and re filed the info with DMV. Now two years later Orange county again wants property tax on it for 2010, 2011, 2012. So obviously the buyer has never transfrerred ownership and the DMV is not accepting my paperwork now. So I am thinking of going down to the DMV, requesting a copy of the title, pay the property tax bill and getting my Malibu back!!

I see there is a grassroots event in Bako coming up. The website does not say much other than grassroots events are family oriented experience for all watersports.

You must have the hydrogate up on the 07, that wake is butter at those line lenghts. I have alot of time behind that boat @ 15,22

I may be wrong, but this is how I see it. MC's priorities are not to make a new tournamen ski boat right now. The suits and bean counters at MC rather spend the money on the redesign of the 100k+ wave makers. It's just makes more financial sense. They already pretty much guaranetee 100 or so sales of the current 197TT , so why invest the $$ only possibly move a small amount more. With 3 others in the game there probably isnt enough market share to make sense right now. So they will get to it when they get to it.

I still haven't quite decided on what boat to get for next season.That is if I play my cards right and able to do so. I thought I was settled on the TXI or 200OB. But after seeing and skiing carbon pro recently I am really leaning that direction. Not to mention its about $10K less. The boat is probably the least family friendly of the bunch, but I really dig it. I havent had the chance to drive one yet though. Now that there's two seasons behind us since it came out, what are your thoughts on it? I know it skiis well, but how about fit and finish, ride, reliability? Are you guys liking the sea deck floor? The bimini looks like it has nowhere to lay down. Do you have to remove it completely to tow? Anyone use theres on public lake /open water? If so how does it handle it. BTW if and when I do get a new boat, I will be supporting a promo guy.

I saw this on TT. Sounds legit? "I have first hand reliable intel on the new Prostar for 2014. It will be named Prostar 201. MC wants to one up CC again ( cc196 vs MC197) . It will share some of the same characterisics of the new Xstar. It will have the funky rub rail dip and will also incorprate a small pickle fork front bow to address the complaints of the small seating area of the 197. It will have a rear swooping mini tower that does not interfere with shortline. . It will have a built in boom that stores itself in the gunnel when not in use. A push of a button will release the boom and it will telescope out automatically! No power tower, but now you got this cool auto feature. The engine will be pushed forward 3 inches as well as the gas tank to improve weight distibution. The storage locker is thinner but goes all the way to the floor. The dash will have no gauges. It will be one offset( simalar to CC) six inch screen . It will display all info and zero off. It will have two rope release systems, one specific to trick the other to slalom. The wake is supposed to be so faint and soft that it will sure to see new world records. As far as power plant, there is talk of a turbo charged V6 that is supposed to get better gas consumption than anything we have seen before.Thats about all I know right now, I am rooted to have WTT #1! @horton I agree, but if its not for the wakeboard boats, we probably wouldnt have ski boats!

My business partner has a wakeboard boat and when I got in this morning he asked me to take a look at his prop. He said he let a buddy drive and hit a rock and was wondering if the prop was ok. Well I looked at the prop and it was not ok but probably repairable. Upon further examination I noticed the strut was bent, probably the shaft too, and the prop was nicking the bottom of the hull. The prop was not able to be spun by hand. To make matters worse he drove the boat back to the launch about a 20 min drive , however slow( if that even makes a difference) .Anyhow, I told him better call your insurance. My best guestimate is probaly close to $2000. He crapped himself as he is even to cheap to buy a boat cover for it. Any clue or ball park what he is looking at before he gets an appt to take it in?

I admit I never noticed anything about it. Was that the only thread regarding the video and his intentions to hope to re coop some of the cost?

Nor Cal can be great in March or suck. You never really know. These last two years we been having a slow start to good ski weather. Normally though there's a good chance March is skiable even with out wet suit.

Thanks! I will actually be there this weekend but with the family. Probably going to take them to the afterbay . Going forward I will most likely be there thursdays and fridays. I'm familar where most sites are in Chico. Is yours the newish one across from the catfish ?

Anyone in Chico area ski regularly that can offer a pull ? I have access to two sites as well but no one to ski with. I'll be traveling to Chico over the next couple months and would like to get some skiing in !
