  1. Auction ended again without a sale.
  2. I'm fairly sure they are serious. I have exchanged a few phone calls and emails. My other problem is that our ski lake is closed for the season. I believe after November 30, no more sking till March. The local public lake has a 5 mile speed limit due to low water. Other option is river, but I assume full of debris from the recent storms. Can't they just read the WS review while I run it on the fake a lake? Same thing right! LOL
  3. I have my 93 ski boat for sale so I can upgrade. I have two guys interested in buying it together. They want to come check out the boat, do a lake test and both them and a girlfriend ski it. Normally I would not have an issue with it in the summer on a weekend where I cold make a day of it and catch a set myself. However they want to do it during the week and now. If I really want to sell the boat I guess I should do it . To get my clean dry boat out of storage and take 3 people skiing would take a good part of the day. I would have to take a day off of work and my boat would get really dirty with all the mud thats out now. Not mention there is no way Im skiing in right now, I dont do the cold! If I were selling a $30k+ boat I could justify it, but at $7500 I don't think I'm going to offer it up. What do you guys think?
  4. Im not Big dawg material, but I'm interested in coming by !
  5. I don't get this community. As a skier I would not want to live there without out having use of the lakes. It would pain me to sit there all day and watch people ski , while I'm stuck on shore hoping one of my nice neighbors may invite me alogn for a set. And as a non skier, why would you want to live waterfront and subject yourself to boat noise, and so on when you have no interest in skiing. Why not just live on paddle boat lake. Is there a shortage of nice communites in that area ? I didn't read the HOA's but I would be concerned that the non skiers that live waterfront would eventually get tired of the skiing and try and petition to limit it. Just like the morons that move next to an airport and then get noise abatements put on the airport.
  6. Looks like there are like 40 lots on one of the lakes. So only 15 get to use it? Other wise I would hate to try and grab a set on a Satruday if all 40 homes could use the lake !
  7. @chef I disagree, if they let you design your boat, you should be able to get what you want. I don't think its ugly, just crazy. The seller replied that the boat has all the colors of a slalom course. LOL, rock bottom price is $39,500.
  8. Anyone else message the seller to see what the bottom $ is on it. I just did , I'm curious ! The problem is even if you got a great deal, your pretty much stuck with it forever!
  9. I can only speak for the x9 wakeboard version and the wake was fairly big and wide. Awesome open water boat though with tons of room for a big family. Boar is no longer made and sought after so you should have no problem selling it Aswinter.
  10. Sounds like the Houston area will work out great, Thanks for the info. I planning on flying out there in the near future to check it all out.
  11. I'd drive and ski that boat proud as can be if someone gave it to me. I can't afford it so I may be the exception!
  12. Well after some serious consideraion, I my tentative plan is this. I'm going to stay in California for about 2 more years. Sell my business and move. My plan is to hopefully move to a ski lake home. Houston is looking good. Never been , but looking at homes on ski lakes in Houston area , they look very affordable. (At least now they are) I think this maybe the best long term solution and I can finally achieve my dream of living on a lake and be closer to S. America. Now I just need to sell the wife on it !
  13. I think $35 is where it will need to be. Not a penny more!
  14. Price seems low, it must be trashed or could be a great deal. I look into it thanks.
  15. Trying to help a buddy find a boat. For his price range I think this is the best boat for the buck. However I cant seem to find any for sale close by. Anywhere in California will work. Price range is $15K tops. There are a bunch of 95-96, but I don't know anything about those years. I am assuming the 1998+ was much better. Anyway if anyone has a lead on one let me know. I have only found one in Bako with 1500hrs. To high for him .
  16. For the right price I would ski the hell out of it. If it were to sell at around $25k, no problem.
  17. The joystick towers are really heavy compared to other towers. I agree it has to make a difference in the wake. I know that on my Malibu RLXI , when I removed the tower and wedge, the wake got much softer.. Maybe to those that ski 28 and shorter may not notice, but 15 & 22 , towers make a difference.
  18. I noticed in the recent issue of the Waterskier that kneeboarding still exists. One of the events was slalom. Do they use the same course we do , or is it different. Just curious.
  19. you rent the house, ill bring the boat! sunsetranchoasis.com
  20. Has anyone rented this place? Looks like a fun long weekend trip for a few families. Would love to do it if price is reasonable. www.sunsetranchoasis.com
  21. Thanks for the advice, and I started to realize how it works when I started listening more carefully to those who's wishes are granted . Basically the wishes are being granted to those ask for things that the stations advertisers can donate. ie, Sleep Train. Alot pf beds are being givin away. With that said, I dont plan to pursue the radio station. I simply want to set up a fund that friends, family and co workers can donate some cash.
  22. I know way off topic here but don't know where else to ask. Since I have seen a few guys set these up on here I thought I would ask. Here is a letter I wrote to local radio stations explaining the situation. They did not grant the wish, so I was hopig to set up a fund for him to help him out. Dear KRXQ, My name is Rod Luppi an owner of Cassarino Granite & Marble in Loomis . I am writing to you regarding our long time and faithful employee of 12 years , Magdaleno. Magdaleno’s both daughters were diagnosed with cancer. His 9 y/o with brain tumors, about 2 years ago, and his 7 y/o with leukemia, about a year ago. Last Thursday, Magdeleno asked to speak to me regarding his situation. He told me that the older daughter has been sent home and that the doctors can no longer do anything more for her. He asked if it was okay for him to stop working indefinitely so that he could spend time with his daughter . Of course I told them that it was more than okay and that he would have a job when and if he wished to return. We really wanted to do something special for him and his family, but as a small business struggling in a bad economy, there isn’t much we can do other than thoughts and prayers. As a long time loyal listener, I heard about the 27 days of xmas and my plan was to write to you for help. I was thinking about asking for a trip to Disneyland so that his daughter could experience it at least once before her time came. Unfortunately , she passed away on Monday and this letter is now too late. However , I still would like to do something for Magdaleno and his family. His remaining daughter is also very sick and I assume they are not doing well financially since he has had to miss a lot of work. I would like to still ask of KRXQ to grant this family a wish. If not a trip Disneyland maybe something else or some cash ($300) to help with the some bills. If a wish cannot be granted, I hope to at least maybe raise some awareness for Cancer research, Although I did not know his daughter, this has affected me greatly. Over the last few years I have lost an aunt, 2 college friends and recently my brother in law to cancer. I wish there more I could do, at least writing this letter may be a step in the right direction. Thank you for the consideration,
  23. Wakeworld.com is your best bet. There are a few slalom and barefoot junkies that frequent the site including myself.
  24. http://kentwatersports.com/Brands/56 Interesting, I did not know that these were all owned by the same company.
